Top performances in the state tonight as well. Niles West advances to a road game vs #2 Seed Evanston Township. Junior Victor Norris of Providence St Mel (Chicago) an unusual triple double tonight. Here we go:

Niles West (Skokie) 56 Mather (Chicago) 30:

Senior Asani Dixon did not want his high school career to end tonight. Honored before the game for his All Conference in Central Suburban North season, he locked up 20 plus point per game scorer Smajlovic. Hounded him on the ball early moving his feet on defense and getting steals. This game was never in doubt as Niles West went out to a 14-0 lead at home and never looked back. Forcing turnovers and getting steals and run outs to put the game on ice early. Niles West led wire to wire as they took a 19-4 lead at end of first quarter, 31-11 at recess as Becovic had 17 points and Dixon had 11 in the half. Niles West led 50-22 at the end of three. They extended it to 30 and a running clock which brought subs in on both sides. Becovic was brought in to try and get to 30 points but was unsuccessful.

Niles West (Skokie) ups record to 10-20 and advances to IHSA Class 4A regional semifinals for a road game at #2 seed Evanston Township.

Mather (Chicago) ends it's season at 16-15.
