Strong teams up in the cold part of Chicago Area. Here we go:
1) Warren Township (Gurnee) (16-1) (4A): Big Class 4A title game rematch with Benet Academy (Lisle) on Saturday at When Sides Collide.
2) Evanston Township (16-3) (4A): Tonight vs #4 Loyola Academy (Wilmette) at home big game for sectional playoff seeding. Big game Friday at #6 Glenbrook South (Northbrook) for Central Suburban South lead.
3) Waukegan (15-5) (4A): I still see two more matchups with #1 Warren Township (Gurnee) one in a sectional final once again.
4) Loyola Academy (Wilmette) (17-4) (4A): Tonight vs #2 Evanston Township in Beardsley Gym. Big game for sectional playoff seeding. Then St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago) for Jesuit Cup.
5) Cary Grove (18-2) (3A): Big week vs the Crystal Lake schools Central and South.
6) Glenbrook North (Northbrook) (16-5) (4A): Second in Central Suburban South big game Friday hosting #2 Evanston Township.
7) New Trier (Winnetka) (14-6) (4A): Starting to show effects of losing all stater Princeton commit Chris Kirkpatrick.
8) Niles North (Skokie) (15-5) (4A): Still the King of the Central Suburban North but took a huge loss at Evanston Township last week. Big game Saturday vs Peoria at Metamora Shootout.
9) Deerfield (13-7) (3A): Ranking has been effected by senior Dartmouth commit Jake Pollack missing time with an injury. Big one Friday vs #7 New Trier (Winnetka)
10) Vernon Hills (13-7) (3A): Senior big Daniel Obhiambo is back from ankle injury. Will that make a difference when they host Niles North (Skokie) to try and get some get back on February 6th? They win that would likely give them a share of the crown.
