Open gyms: Perspectives Leadership (Chicago)!!!!

Last week I made a visit to the Southside of Chicago in the pouring rain to get a look at Perspectives Leadership Warriors. Guard laden team that will have to play fast. Here we go:
MIKEY WOODS, 6'2" Class of 2027 point guard dominasted the practice. Got where he wanted off the dribble, finishing at the rim in a variety of ways. Hit some mid range jumpers on pull-ups in transition and halfcourt. Made some nice passes on dribble penetration into the paint. Blocked a couple of shots, and scored on offensive rebounds. Physical defender on the ball, and attacking the rim off the bounce.. Multiple division one offers. Transfer from Morton (Hammond,IN).
JAYDEN TAYLOR, 6'2" Class of 2027 combo guard went against Woods the entire practice. Made a couple of threes, and got in some nice passes in transition and halfcourt. Scored on layups on fast break run outs getting into lanes in transition.
KAYONTA WILLIAMS, 5'9" Class of 2028 point guard hit some threes in transition. Lefty showed a smooth stroke off the bounce or the catch. Attacked the rim in transition scoring baskets on different angles, including some and one tough baskets. Defended well on the ball. Transfer from Fenwick (Oak Park).
JOSH HINTON, 6'8" Class of 2027 center was setting picks, getting defensive rebounds, and changing ends in transition. Had a couple of rebound put backs, and blocked a couple of shots.
BRANDON BOYKIN, 5'10" Class of 2027 point guard was scoring on threes from the wing and top of the key. Pushed the ball well in transition, making some nice passes for open three point shots by teammates. Used quickness on defense to get steals.
KENON DISMUKES, 6'6" Class of 2029 wing was cleaning up at the rim, scoring on nive passes from Woods, and getting out in transition and getting put back baskets. Hit a couple of mid range jump shots.
CONCLUSION: Missing transfer from Proviso West (Hillside) 6'3" wing TJ Blakely who's recovering from a knee injury. Slated to be one of the top guys and possible starter. Team will have to play fast because not a lot of size. Lots of guards to push the ball and get out in transition. Should have no problems playing with 35 second shot clock, as Woods, and Taylor can create shots for themelves and others. Hinton will have to hit the defensive glass, but will need help from Dismukes, and the guards. Playing in the Chicago Public League Red is an advantage as most of the teams play fast and have a lot of guards. They are in Class 4A so will be a tough go in state playoffs. Pressure defense and speed will have to be their calling card.
