Big Tim's All Chicago Area Team Fifth Edition!!!!

Player of the year has been named, now the rest of the team. There are 25 players on it and they had great seasons an have their teams. Here we go:





MOREZ JOHNSON JR, 6'9" senior forward, Thornton Township (Harvey): Illinois commit. Player of the Year. Repeat selection as he was elected out of St Rita (Chicago) last season. Double/double machine. Hardest working player in high school basketball. Changes end very well, rim protects. NICK ALLEN, 6'10" junior forward, Bradley Bourbonnais: Double/double machine scored a lot in the paint and can step out and hit threes. Good rim protector on defense and hits the glass on both ends. Nice jump hook over left shoulder. Averaged 19-5 points, 10 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks for 19-10 team. Has multiple division one offers.




CAMDEN CERESE, 6'3" senior combo guard, Lake Park (Roselle): CAM....OH CAM!!!! He's a stone cold scorer at all three levels of the court. He was smart enough to let the game come to him as he saw a bunch of gimmick defenses all year. Averaged 24.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, shot 54% from the field, 37% from three. Won DuKane Conference Title with 29-4 record. Regional Title. Unsigned.




PJ CHAMBERS, 6'0" senior point guard, DePaul College Prep (Chicago): Led his team to a second consecutive state title this time in Class 3A with a 35-2 record. Won a Class 2A title his junior year. Won Catholic League Blue Title. Averaged 15 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. Shot 36% from three and 85% from free throw line. Unsigned.





ANGELO CIARAVINO, 6'6" senior wing, Mount Carmel (Chicago): Northwestern commit led his team to second place finish in Class 3A with 32-6 record. Had 26 points in title game more than half his teams points. First team All-City by the Chicago Sun Times. Lawless Award Winner as Chicago Catholic League Player of The Year. MVP of Pekin Holiday Tournament. Averaged 20 points.



STEFAN CICIC, 7'0" senior center, Riverside Brookfield: Takes up space on the interior and does his rim protecting in that manner. Nice touch out to three point line. Multiple division one offers. Averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds (double/double), 2 assists and 2 blocks for a 26-5 team. Scored over 1000 points in career. Won Metro Suburban Conference Title. Unsigned.




GIANNI COBB, 6'0" senior combo guard, Homewood Flossmoor: Columbia commit. Led team to first Class 4A state title with a 33-4 record. Hit game winning free throws in Supersectional win over Curie (Chicago). Hit two game winning shots in regular season to beat Thornton Township (Harvey). Plays hard on both ends of the court, makes clutch plays like the steal to seal the state semifinal win over New Trier (Winnetka). Averaged 16.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.5 steals.




TYREEK COLEMAN, 6'2" junior point guard, Waubonsie Valley (Aurora): Burst onto the scene with clutch play throughout the year. His team was one of the last undefeated teams in the state. Three level scorer who is a true floor general who also defends. Averaged 14.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals for 27-3 regional title team. Team won DuPage Valley Conference Title and was Player of The Year.




JAXSON DAVIS, 6'1" freshman point guard, Warren Township (Gurnee): One of the first two freshman to make my All-Area team. First two ever. One of the best freshman in the country. Multiple division one offers. First freshman to win MVP at the prestigious and long running Proviso West (Hillside) Holiday Tournament. Plays older than his age like an NBA veteran with his decision making and pace of play. Brought a lot of excitement back to Lake County basketball. Two end player and effects the game on both ends. Team went 31-5 and won sectional title. Averaged 19.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.5 steals.





JOSH FRIDMAN, 5'11" senior point guard, Glenbrook North (Northbrook): Illinois Wesleyan commit. Has overcome injuries from his sophomore year (shoulder), and junior year (torn ACL) to help his team to sectional final. Came back in full force and made life miserable for his opponents. True floor leader led his team to a 25-8 record, Central Suburban South title. Central Suburban South Player Of The Year. Averaged 15 points, and 5 assists.



CARLOS HARRIS III, 6'2" senior point guard, Curie (Chicago): Illinois Chicago commit. Tough hard nosed player on both ends who can take over with his physicality against opposing guards. Nice mid range pull-up jump shot, and posted up opposing guards on the block. Team went 31-3 and won a sectional title. Won Chicago Public League Title. AC Williamson Award winner at the Pontiac Holiday Tournament. Four year varsity performer. Averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.



BRYCE HEARD, 6'6" junior combo guard, Homewood Flossmoor: Led team to first Class 4A state title with a 33-4 record. Can score mostly in midrange which is what he did in the semifinals and title game scoring an average of 20 game. Hits the glass and gets out on the fast break. Scored consistently in double figures all season for the Vikings.




LAWRENCE "EJ" HORTON, 6'2" combo guard, Wendell Phillips Academy (Chicago): Led his team to Class 2A state title.One of the fastest risers in his class. He's explosive off the bounce (dunked on a 6'8" player in state title game), who can hit threes either off the bounce or catch and shoot. Attacks the basket with abandon and is not intimidated by who's under the basket. Averaged 20 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists for 25-9 state champ.




LUKE KINKAIDE, 6'2" senior combo guard, Neuqua Valley (Naperville): All time leading scorer in school history. Scores in a variety of ways in half court and in transition. Averaged 19-5 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals for a 23-10 team. Unsigned.



CHRISTOPHER KIRKPATRICK, 6'2" sophomore point guard, New Trier (Winnetka): Young man had a solid season but turned it up in the playoffs leading his team to a repeat trip to the Class 4A state finals. Hit the game winning three in Sectional title game against Glenbrook North (Northbrook). Team finished third in the state in Class 4A. Dominated the Oak Park River Forest Regional.




JUSTUS MCNAIR, 6'3" senior combo guard, West (Joliet): Valparaiso commit is a two way monster. Can score at all three levels and guard from point to power forward in high school. Quick hands helps him get steals on the ball and in passing lanes. Averaged 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists for 21-10 Southwest Prairie Conference Title team. Player of the Year in Southwest Prairie Conference. Scored over 1100 career points.




CONNOR MAY, 6'7" senior wing, Palatine: Washington University of St Louis commit. An absolute steal at division three level. Repeat selection. Scores inside and out. Led team to Class 4A state finals a first in school history, and a fourth place finish. Hit the game winning layup in Supersectional against Warren (Gurnee). All tournament at Jack Tosh Holiday Tournament. Averaged 18.8 points and 7.9 rebounds for Mid Suburban Conference title team, second in a row. Team finished 28-10.



ADYN MCGINLEY, 6'0" point guard, Beecher: College of DuPage commit. Great get for DuPage as he's a great small college floor general. Beecher was the last undefeated team left but lost in Class 2A Supersectional. Four year starter averaged 16 points, 5, rebounds, and 7 assists for 34-1 River Valley Conference Champs. Won first sectional title in school history.



IAN MILITEC, 6'7" junior wing, Rolling Meadows: Verstile player who scores on all three levels. Can hit threes off the dribble and off the catch. Numerous double/doubles this season. Averaged 19-5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks for Mid Suburban East Champ. Multiple division one offers and interest. Team finished 22-10.




JT PETTIGREW, 6'7" junior forward, Bolingbrook: Double/double machine for The Brook. Had a couple of triple doubles adding the blocked shot category. He can score on slashing drives to the rim, post ups on the block and three point shots. One of the state's best rim protectors. Averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks for team that made it to Sectional Final with a 27-5 record.




JACK STANTON, 6'2" senior combo guard, North (Downers Grove): Princeton commit is more than a three point shooter which he's good off the bounce or catch. Attacks the basket and scores off the dribble, or off cutting to the basket. Winningest player in school history. Averaged 15 points for a 31-5 team that won regional title.




JE'SHAWN STEVENSON JR, 6'4" senior wing, Lindblom Math And Science Academy (Chicago): Cleveland State commit. Stone cold scorer in a variety of ways, plays both ends of the court. First team All-City selection by Chicago Sun Times. Schools all time leading scorer. Averaged 25.6 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists for a 18-12 team.



GABE SULARSKI, 6'6" sophomore combo guard, Benet Academy (Lisle): One of the top sophomores in the country. Has multiple high major division one offers. Can score off the catch or attacking the rim with either hand. MVP of St Charles East Thanksgiving Tournament. Scored 25 points in sectional semifinal loss to Bolingbrook. Team finished 27-7.




NICK TAYLOR, 6'7" senior forward, Glenbrook South (Glenview): Winona State commit. King of Bounce who can dunk on an unsuspecting opponent at any moment on the court. He can also step out and hit threes mostly off catch and shoot. Rebounds and rim protects. Averaged 18.7 points, and 6 rebounds for 26-7 regional champ.




DAVION THOMPSON, 6'2" freshman combo guard, Bolingbrook: One of the first two freshman to make my All-Area team. First two ever. One of the best freshman in the country. Multiple division one offers. Can score at all three levels. Explodes with his scoring prowess and plays both ends of the court. Averaged 19.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists for 28-5 team that made it to sectional final. Shot 59% from the field, 45% from three.
