Illinois Hoop Prospects High School Invite Only Open Runs Wrap-up!!!!

Illinois Hoop Prospects hosted an open run at Bennett Day School on Sunday. Here are some of the top players:

CHASE KASTEN, Normal Community: Class of 2028 6'6" wing showed his strength on both ends of the court. Used physicality to defend the wing position and showed some three level scoring. Hit threes, mid range jumpers, and scored off the bounce in transition and halfcourt. Finished powering through contact and scoring. Blocked shots off help side.

GRANT SMITH, Lyons Township (LaGrange): Class of 2028 6'6" wing was three level scoring off the bounce and catch. Powered through on attacks to the rim in transition and halfcourt, as well as Euro steps around defenders at the rim. Scored on three point shots off passes as well as set up others for open shots. Defended at the rim blocking shots, and changing shots.

NICK BRZEZNIAK, Lincoln Way Central (Frankfort): Class of 2027 6'6" wing was a two way force defending on the ball, crowding offensive players on the perimeter, blocking shots. Scored with a nice stroke from three, and attacking the rim off the bounce. Crashed the glass on both ends of the court.

DUKE ROSS, St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago): Class of 2027 6'6" wing was attacking the rim off the bounce and finishing through and around contact at the rim. Changing ends well running the wings on the fast break, receiving passes, and finishing at the rim.

WALKER ROSS, St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago): Class of 2028 6'3" point guard lefty was knocking down shots from three off the bounce, or off the catch. Made some nice passes to shooters and cutters in transiton and halfcourt. Attacked the rim off the bounce and created for himself and others.

KAYDEN TURNER, Central (Peoria): Class of 2028 6'5" combo guard was hitting threes from all over the court especially early in the run. Don't go under screens on him or he'll make you pay. Showed a nice two dribble mid range pull-up jump shot, high release point and gets high on jumper. Crashed the boards on both ends and made some nice passes in transition. Guarded multiple sized players from quick guards, to wings.

NOAH CORRO, St Laurence (Burbank): Class of 2028 6'2" combo guard was hitting threes and mid range jumpers with regularity. Can't go under screens on him as he'll make you pay. Hit threes off the bounce in this open run, and got to the mid range off the bounce going straight up on his jumper.

LOGAN BROWN, St Laurence (Burbank): Class of 2028 6'5" combo guard came lalive hitting threes later in the open run. Hit them off passes with a quick catch and release. Lefty also hit a few using the side dribble and pulling up from deep. Scored on some layups running the wing in transition.

BRENNAN SHANNON, Lake Park (Roselle): Class of 2028 6'7" forward was scoring on the block off with turnaround jumpers, and bullying through contact using his power. Lefty stepped out and hit a couple of threes off the catch.

DAVID UDOIWOD, Geneva: Class of 2027 6'0" point guard used his quickness to get where he wanted on the floor. Was more a floor general in this one making good passes to shooters, and post up players. Also hit some mid range jumpers as well as getting assists to players running the lanes in transition. Used quick hands to get steals and get out in transition.

MATTHEW LOGUE, New Trier (Winnetka): Class of 2027 6'5" wing is a King of Bounce who uses his athleticism to get rebounds, change ends in transition, and threw down a couple of dunks. Defended on the block using strength to push post up players off the block. Crashed the glass on both ends.

AJ ENYIA, St Laurence (Burbank): Class of 2027 6'8" forward did his damage on drives to the paint from the wing and rising up for short jump shots, or good footwork for up and under at the rim. Changes ends well and runs the wing for three point shots, or attacking drives. Hit the defensive glass well.

COLE CHRISTIAN, Lane Tech College Prep (Chicago): Class of 2028 6'7" wing did most of his damage running the floor, and revceiving passes for finishes at the rim. Did some rim protecting and hit the glass on both ends. Stepped out for some mid range jumpers.

FITZ MCDERMOTT, St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago): Class of 2029 6'3" point guard did a lot of running the show here getting the ball to shooters and cutters. Found time to make a few threes off the dribble, and getting into the lane for mid range jumpers.

ORLANDO BOHLEN, Walter Payton College Prep (Chicago): Class of 2029 6'2" combo guard was hitting threes off the catch or bounce mostly in transition. Made some nice passes pushing the ball in transition to shooters and cutters to the rim.

NATE WOODS, Bolingbrook: Class of 2027 6'5" combo guard was hitting threes mostly off the dribble, as he has a side step dribble to get away from defenders jumping at him, and knocking them down. He does it going right or left. Runs the floor and gets to his spots to receive passes.
