Pangos All-American Festival was held August 28th-29th at Amplus Academy-Durango Campus in Las Vegas. Lots of great talent on hand and I'm going to hand out some superlatives for the event. Big Thanks to Dinos Trigonis and his crew for running another first class event.

MVP- Jaxon Kohler, SoCal Academy, Los Angeles- 6'8" Class of 2022 forward HAD A MONSTER TITLE GAME!!!!!!!!!! Scoresheet had 51 points on 19-29 shooting, 23 rebounds(double/double), 2 assists and 2 blocks to lead the West to the title. It is thought that he had 53 points. He was absolutely ridiculous and dominant. He has exquisite footwork on the block. Up and unders, fall away jumpers, jump hooks, offensive rebound follow-ups, backed defenders down to his sweet spot. He did it all in the paint area on both sides of it. The only thing he DID NOT do well was shoot from three where he was 2-6 shooting. Averaged 32.5 points, 18.5 rebounds. Undersized four man ran the floor, changing ends of the court with great effectiveness. Great hands to catch any ball that is thrown to him on the block from any angle. Koehler was the obvious MVP in his turn at the event. The young man was so effective the media table was cheering every move the last 10 minutes of the game. I've never seen that from media at any event. Offers from Washington, Iowa, USC, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, BYU and a few others. If he gets a consistent three point jumper could see a very effective college player. 69th in 247 composite and a 4 star recruit.

SLEEPER PROSPECT: Collin Chandler, Farmington, UT- 6'4" Class of 2022 point guard once again showed his expanding skill set. He hits threes, gets to the basket off the dribble, finishes at the rim with fantastic leaping ability. Chandler is also a great passer with vision to hit players right in their shooting pocket, whether it's a three pointer, or a cutter to the basket. He averaged 15 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6 assists, 1.5 steals in leading the West to the title. Very good defender on the ball and an underrated prospect nationally. This is the second setting I've seen him play and was very impressed. Good ball handler who can get to his spots and be effective in the lane with the mid range, finishing at the basket, or making the right read with a pass to a Big for a finish. Gonzaga just offered him. Other offers are Oregon, Arizona, BYU, Stanford, and Utah. 54th in 247 composite and rated a 4 star recruit.

TOP UNDERCLASSMAN: Sebastian Mack, Durango, Las Vegas, NV- 6'3" Class of 2023 combo guard talent showed his attacking ability and finishing power at the basket. Averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds in the event. Mack was 7-8 from the free throw line as he is good at drawing fouls. Son of former NBA player Sam Mack, his offers are New Mexico, Loyola Marymount, and UNLV. 39th in 247 composite and rated a 4 star recruit.

TOP UNDERCLASSMAN II: Robert Jones Jr, John Paul II, Plano,TX- 6'3" Class of 2023 combo guard was on fire in the first game. He had 29 points on 10-19 shooting, 8-15 from three. He was in FLAMES!!!!!!!!!!!! He hit catch and shoot threes, two dribble pull-ups from mid range, and threes off the dribble. Averaged 16 points in the event as he went cold with not as many opportunities in the second game. Holds offers from Old Dominion, Texas A & M, Texas Tech, USC, St Louis, Texas Rio Grand Valley, Texas Arlington, Tulsa, and TCU. No rating on 247 composite. That may change soon.

SECRETARY OF DEFENSE: Jordan Walsh, SoCal Academy, Los Angeles- 6'7" Class of 2022 wing is just a tough nasty defender. He gets into your grill, makes you work, has quick hands to get steals, is quick enough to keep offensive players from getting to their spots, and long. Had 9 steals in game one. Averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3.5 assists a game and 4-12 from three. He is very good offensively at getting to the basket, along with mid range pull-up jumpers. If he gets a consistent jumper he will be ridiculous, but he's a big time recruit based on his defense alone. Offers are Memphis, Vanderbilt, Maryland, USC, Creighton, Ohio State, Oregon, and Georgia to name a few. 39th in 247 composite and rated a 4 star recruit.

Other Top performers:

Fabio Basili, Oak Ridge, Orlando, FL- 6'2"Class of 2022 point guard messed around and got a triple double in game on with 18 points 10 rebounds and 13 assists. He was dropping dimes all over the place along with showing a willingness to shoot threes as he shot 29 of them in two games. He hit 10 of them. Young man can get to the basket at will with his first step and quick moves to the basket. Averaged 22.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 10.5 assists. Offers are from TCU and SMU. Look for more in the offing. No ranking on 247 composite but one of the best performers here.

Trey Pettigrew, Kenwood Academy, Chicago- 6'3" Class of 2022 combo guard was on his game the whole weekend. He was hitting threes, mid range, and his passing was on point. Showed how good he is in transition and made a nice follow-up dunk. Averaged 26 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists on 20-43 shooting. Played good defense all weekend staying in front of his man with good position defense. Offers are Bradley, DePaul, Grand Canyon, Missouri, Georgia, Illinois, Nebraska, Chicago State, Western Illinois, Milwaukee, Penn State. 159th in 247 composite and rated 3 star recruit.

Oziyah Sellers, SoCal Academy, Los Angeles- 6'5" Class of 2022 combo guard was in his bag all weekend. Hit some long range three pointers to loosen up the defense. Also ran the offense for some stretches. Confident shooter and scorer from the perimeter. Averaged 22 points on 17-31 from the field, 10-24 from three. USC commit with no ranking on 247 composite.

Aidan Shaw, Link Prep, Branson, MO- 6'9" Class of 2022 forward averaged close to a double/double with 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2.5 blocks. Did a little bit of everything, with points, steals, assists and was 3-8 from three. Jack of all trades filling out the stat sheet on both ends of the court. Offers are Maryland, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, and Iowa. 53rd in 247 composite and rated a 4 star recruit.
