All- Stater Tyjuan Hunter's big third quarter gives Hope Academy (Chicago) the separation needed for a big road win at St Viator (Arlington Heights)!! Top performances in state tonight!!!!

Hope Academy won Class 1A title last season but have moved up to Class 2A and will be tough in that classification. Led most of the game for the win. Here we go:



Hope Academy (Chicago) 64 St Viator (Arlington Heights) 55:



Senior Tyjuan Hunter is listed at 5'7" and a point guard. He might be 5'5" but domimates high school games on the regular. This one was not different though he didn't have as many steals as usual though he had 3 tonight. Game was Hope Academy's most of the way after falling behind 4-1. Scored 12 straight points to end the quarter as C.P. Turner was climbing the defensive glass with 6 of them, 7 total for the half. Hope Academy led 28-19 at half as sophomore star Jacob Only of St Viator sat early with foul trouble. Hope Academy led 51-35 at the end of the third quarter as Hunter had 10 points in the quarter and started out the half with 2 straight three point makes. St Viator crept back into the game after junior Dawson Charles fouled out with St Viator down 55-45 with 5;08 left. Charles had started attacking the rim and scoring 6 points drawing fouls on two of the drives with and ones. At this point Only started playing aggressively, specifically on the offenseive end. Scored all 11 of his points in the quarter to cut lead to 6 at 55-49 with 3:39 left. Hope Academy then outscored St Viator 9-6 for final margin with Hunter hitting a couple of free throws down the stretch. Hope Academy ups it's record to 9-5, while St Viator, a very young team drops to 8-6.
