Central Suburban Crosover, the South Division beat the North, but Maine East (Park Ridge) kept it close most of the game. Maine West (Des Plaines) 5'8" sophomore point guard Davion Tate scored a school record 46 points tonight in loss to Maine South (Park Ridge). Here we go:

Glenbrook South (Glenview) 67 Maine East (Park Ridge) 61:

Maine East is a young team. Best players are a freshman (Jayden Dozie), sophomore (Kaiden Wade) , and junior (Brandon Schreiber), so future could be bright if they stay together. Yes other schools will try to poach a couple of their young players. Unfortunately it's the way of the world. I'll cross my fingers that group will stay together. Gave a great effort tonight but came up short. Senior leadership of Hudson Fuller (first three quarters), and Hadjistamoulou (fourth quarter) secured the win.

First quarter:

I missed part of it but saw enough that the game was close with a lot of passing around by both teams looking for a good shot. Glenbrook South was looking inside and out as was Maine East. Hudson Fuller scored 9 of the teams 12 points in the quarter. Junior Anthony Nottage scored the other 3 points. Maine East scored 10.

Second quarter:

Both teams offense got in high gear. Five different players scored in the quarter for Glenbrook South. Dozie hit 6 on two threes in a row towards the end of the quarter for Maine East. Maine East outscored Glenbrook South 19-17 for a 29 all tie going into halftime.

Third quarter:

Glenbrook South took over the lead and kept it the entire game. Hudson Fuller kept attacking off the bounce in the third quarter. Scored all 10 of his points driving to the left and finishing as well as hitting two free throws. Schrieber scored 6 points in the quarter, Wade 5. Glenbrook South outscored Maine East 21-13 for a 50-42 lead at end of three.

Fourth quarter:

Hadjistamoulou scored 10 in the quarter hitting 6/6 from the free throw line to put it away. Dozie scored 8 in the quarter on three beuatiful change of pace drives to the rim and finishing. Also drew a foul and hit 2/2 from the free throw line.
