This facility is NICE!!!!! State of the art gym and scoreboard. Some famous football athletes have played here. Broncos are trying to make this a basketball school. Junior Oliver Gray is a good start. Here we go:
First quarter:
Game started like it would be a blowout in Fremd's favor. They jumped out to a 10-2 lead, Barrington calls timeout. Then game changed as Barrington went on a 17-3 run as senior point guard Adam Baird started handing out dimes (assists) in half court and on fast break. At the same time sophomore Jackson Roberts was a spark and changed the tempo. Gray started out slow shooting the ball as he was 1 for 7 for the quarter with 3 points. Senior Ian Tepas of Barrington scored 10 first quarter points. Junior Rafael Pinto of Fremd scored 7 points in the quarter, but Barrington led 19-13 at the end of quarter.
Second quarter:
Played on even terms as Roberts started scoring on fast break layups on feeds from Baird, and Tepas scoring 7 in the quarter. Gray was still cold with 1 for 3 in the quarter. Senior Ryan Brown for Fremd had 8 points in the quarter on 2 threes. Barrington led 32-27 at the half.
Third quarter:
Barrington took over the game for good. The scoring magic of Oliver Gray showed up. He had 8 points ( 2 threes) on 3 of 3 from the floor in the quarter. Tepas had 5. Barrington outscored Fremd 21-12 to take a 53-39 lead into the fourth quarter.
Fourth quarter:
Fremd started asserting themselves with authority on the offensive glass. First seven possesions of the quarter they got at least one offensive rebound off a miss. They did not shoot well for the game was 20 for 50 and 6 for 24 from three. They cut it to 10 but missed free throws thwarted the comeback.
