Big Tim's Chicago Area Elite 25 Co-Player Of The Year!!!! Bryce Hopkins of Fenwick(Oak Park)!!!!!!!

Writer: Big TimBig Tim

I've thought long and hard about who should win this award. Teams were limited by their conferences on their scheduling. Since this was the case I'm going with co- players of the year. Max Christie of Rolling Meadows and Bryce Hopkins of Fenwick(Oak Park). The second write-up by alphabetical order is Hopkins.

BRYCE HOPKINS(Fenwick, Oak Park)- Kentucky commit 6'7" wing did it all this season for the Friars. Tony Lawless Award Winner( Player of the Year in Chicago Catholic League). Second year in a row he has won the award. Double/double machine. Made game winning assist twice this season, and game winning shot once. Final finish of #12 in Big Tim's poll. Team was 13-3 Chicago Catholic League Blue Co-Champs. Team played in the Chipotle Clash Of Champions getting to the Semifinals. He averaged 24.4 points 12.5 rebounds(double/double) 2.9 assists 1.8 steals 1.5 blocks per game. He was 32% from three, 66% from two, and 76% from the three point line. He's a load to deal with playing point guard a lot of the time this season. Position-less player has a nice first step driving to the basket, and is strong enough to finish through contact and double teams. He can hit the mid range pull-up jumper with efficiency. He exploded onto the scene his sophomore year making the starting lineup. Outstanding high character young man who did not complain to officials when he thought he was fouled. He was a great leader for a team that had 4 junior starters around him. Congrats to Bryce Hopkins on an excellent high school career and co-player of the year.
