Crazy stuff happened today. I'll get into it. Here we go:
#1 Brother Rice (Chicago) aka Recliner Boys lost to Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights) in double overtime. They had been playing with fire in the Hinsdale Central Holiday Tournament playing close games with East (Plainfield) and an overtime game with Auburn (Rockford). Playing the third place game tomorrow.

#7 DePaul College Prep (Chicago) vs Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights).
#15 Lincoln Park (Chicago) is in the Proviso West Title Game tomorrow vs #9 Warren (Gurnee). Speaking of Warren:
They beat #10 Kenwood Academy (Chicago) tonight for a big win against a Chicago Public League power. Get another chance tomorrow against another Chicago Public League Red Team.
Freshman point guard Jaxson Davis of Warren Township (Gurnee) has put on a show this week. Played well on both ends tonight against Kenwood I was told. I think like some others (Aaron Simpson), he's top 5 in the state regardless of class.
Freshman Davion Thompson might be Top 5 too definitely top 10, as he went for 27 points and 8 rebounds tonight to get his team to Jack Tosh Title Game. He's played well the entire tournament as well.
#8 Mount Carmel (Chicago) won their third consecutive Pekin Holiday Tournament beating Lake Park (Roselle). Northwestern commit Angelo Ciaravino was tournament MVP.
#21 Kankakee won it's own holiday tournament beating #23 Lindblom Math and Science Academy (Chicago) in title game. Third title in a row for the Kays. Senior point guard Larenz Walters tournament MVP.

Juniors Amari Edwards and EJ Horton of Wendell Phillips (Chicago) have to qualify as one of the top backcourts in the Chicago Area.
Lincoln Way East (Frankfort) is in the title game in Effingham.
Collinsville wins it's own Holiday tournament beating previously undefeated Quincy.

Leyden (Franklin Park) vs Vernon Hills.
Wheeling Hardwood Classic Title Game:
#13 Glenbrook North (Northbrook) vs Neuqua Valley (Naperville).
Senior guard Columbia commit Gianni Cobb hits game winning basket with 2.2 seconds left to lead #2 Homewood Flossmoor to Big Dipper title over #3 Thornton Township (Harvey).
Richwoods (Peoria) went to New Jersey and picked up a win over Lathan Somerville's future home court Rutgers University.
