Big Tim's Insider Notes(Kentucky Edition Volume 1).

This is the latest I have on Kentucky targets per my source:

There have been rumblings that Kentucky has stopped recruiting Class of 2020 6'10" forward Isaiah Todd of Word of God(Raleigh,NC). This is not the case but the recruitment has been put on pause. Kentucky is looking to gather more information to see if they should continue pursuing him. I've heard part of it is he's seriously looking into playing overseas among other things. This is a young man that would help Kentucky on the interior, as he's an inside/outside force and versatile big man. This is a new development and one worth watching. Kentucky fans went through this last season with James Wiseman. He ended up signing with Memphis. Memphis is getting an official visit from Todd on September 27th.

Kentucky staff feels they are no longer playing catch up with my #1 player in Class of 2020 6'7" combo guard Cade Cunningham of Montverde Academy(Montverde,FL) by way of Arlington,TX. They feel Kentucky is legit contenders to land him. He's being recruited to play point guard and it seems like he's very open to the idea. I for one still thinks he ends up with the Cowpokes at Oklahoma State, where his brother Cannen is an Assistant Coach. This is good news for Big Blue Nation, as Coach Cal is not going after recruits he feels they cannot get. This is a tweek in recruiting policy for Kentucky.

Class of 2020 6'10" center Cliff Omoruyi of Roselle Catholic(Roselle,NJ) was visited by Kentucky late last week but not much more. I think Kentucky would be the leader if they turn up the heat. Time may be running out on that if he decides to sign in the early signing period. He's visited other schools and has high interest from Rutgers. Memphis is trying to get in but he cancelled a scheduled official visit, but might reschedule. Keep watch on this recruitment because it could change if Kentucky says they want him to come.

Not much lately on Class of 2020 6'9" forward Isiah Jackson of Waterford Mott(Waterford,MI) on Kentucky's front. There's a feeling from my source we may not get him. Alabama has come on strong and Michigan State is always lurking though I'm not sure how much a priority he is after they received a commitment from power forward Maddy Sissoko of Wasatch Academy(Wasatch,UT).

Also quiet on the front of Class of 2020 6'9" forward Greg Brown of Vandegrift(Austin,TX). My feeling is he's waiting on what happens with Shaka Smart's job at Texas as he's slated to sign in the Spring signing period.

There has been noise of Kentucky maybe giving an offer to Class of 2020 6'5" point guard Karim Mane of Vanier Collegiate School(Montreal, Quebec, Canada). Kentucky staff is trying to stay in touch, but think he's headed overseas or the NBA Draft. ESPN has him 23rd pick in the 1st round of their Mock Draft.

There you go the updates for now. As you know things change quickly in recruiting so stay tuned. Either way Kentucky will have the players they need as they always do so chin up Big Blue Nation. God Bless and Peace to the Creatures.
