Big Tim's Super 25 Chicago Area Boys Basketball Rankings After Week 10!!!!!

Chicago Public League Regular Season is over, the playof start this week. Getting down to seeding time for the playoffs next week. Some movement in the rankings. Waukegan and Stevenson (Lincolnshire) move in. Fenwick (Oak Park) and Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn) drop out. Here we go:




1) Kenwood Academy (Chicago) (23-1) (4A): Stays at one. Won two tough road games at Whitney Young (Chicago) and previous #7 Lincoln Park (Chicago). Won Chicago Public League Red Shield title with undefeated record. #1 seed in Chicago Public League Red Playoffs.Thursday host George Westinghouse/Walter Payton College Prep winner in Chicago Public League Red Playoffs second round.


2) Homewood Flossmoor (22-2) (4A): Stays at two. Beat Lockport Township. Tuesday at Lincoln Way Central (New Lenox), Friday at Stagg (Palos Hills).


3) DePaul College Prep (Chicago) (21-3) (3A): Stays at three. Went 2-0 for the week. Tuesday at Providence Catholic (New Lenox), Friday at St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago).


4) Hinsdale Central (21-2) (4A) Stays at four.:Beat previous #24 Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn) on the road. Have won 19 straight. Tuesday host Oak Park River Forest. Friday host North (Downers Grove), Saturday host Fenwick (Oak Park).


5) Bolingbrook (23-3) (4A): Stays at five. Went 2-0 for the week. Tuesday at Oswego, Friday host East (Oswego), Saturday vs Vashon (St Louis) at O'Fallon Shootout.


6) Kankakee (18-3) (3A): Moved up two spots. Had a 2-0 week. Tuesday host Crete Monee, Wednesday host Thornridge. Friday at #12 Rich Township (Richton Park).


7) Marist (24-2) (4A): Moved up two spots. Went 3-0 for the week. Tuesday host Fenger (Chicago), Friday at Nazareth Academy (LaGrange).


8) Waubonsie Valley (Aurora) (24-1) (4A): Moved up two spots. Went 2-0 for the week. Wednesday at DeKalb, Friday host Neuqua Valley (Naperville).


9) Lincoln Park (Chicago) (21-4) (4A): Dropped two spots. Lost at home to #1 Kenwood Academy (Chicago) for Chicago Public League Red Shield Title. #3 seed in Chicago Public League Red Playoffs. Thursday host Wendell Phillips Academy/Farragut Academy winner in Chicago Public League Red Playoffs Second Round.


10) Brother Rice (Chicago) (21-3) (4A): Moved up one spot. Went 2-0 for the week. Tuesdsay at Marmion Academy (Aurora), Friday at St Rita (Chicago), Saturday at West Aurora.


11) Benet Academy (Lisle) (21-5) (4A):Dropped five spots. Lost to previous #19 Evanston Township at War On The Shore at Loyola Academy (Wilmette). Friday at Notre Dame College Prep (Niles)


12) Rich Township (Richton Park) (16-6) (4A): Stays at twelve. Went 2-0 for the week. Tuesday at Bloom Township (Chicago Heights), Friday host #6 Kankakee.


13) Rolling Meadows (21-3) (4A): Moved up one spot. Went 2-0 for the week. Friday at Hersey (Arlington Heights), Saturdsay at Lake Forest.


14) Kaneland (22-1) (3A): Moved up one spot. Have won 21 in a row. Tuesday host Rochelle, Friday at Sycamore.


15) St Laurence (Burbank) (20-5) (3A): Moved up two spots. Beat pervious #13 Mount Carmel (Chicago). Went 3-0 on the week. Tuesday host St Rita (Chicago), Friday host Marmion Academy (Chicago).


16) Evanstpn Township (20-4) (4A): Moved up three spots. Beat arch rival New Trier (Winnetka) on the road. Beat previous #6 Benet Academy (Lisle) at War On The Shore at Loyola Academy (Wilmette). Tuesday at Schaumburg, Friday host Glenbrook South (Glenview), Saturday at DeLaSalle Institute (Chicago).


17) Simeon Career Academy (Chicago) (17-6) (4A): Moved up one spot. Beat George Westinghouse College Prep (Chicago) and Curie (Chicago). #2 seed in Chicago Public League Red Playoffs. Thursday vs Taft/ North Lawndale winner in Chicago Public League Red Playoffs Second Round.


18) Mount Carmel (Chicago) (18-5) (3A): Dropped five spots with loss to previous #17 St Laurence (Burbank). Tuesday at St Francis (Wheaton), Thursday host Urbana, Saturday host St Joseph (South Bend).


19) Fremd (Palatine) (21-2) (4A): Moved up two spots. Went 2-0 for the week. Tuesday at New Trier (Winnetka), Friday host Barrington.


20) Loyola Academy (Wilmette) (20-6) (4A): Moved up five spots. Beat previous #20 Niles North (Skokie) at War On The Shore on their home court. Miami (OH) football commit Brendan Loftus went for 40 points and 12 rebounds. Junior teammate Trey WIlliams went for a 12 points 14 rebounds 10 assists triple double. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Prep (Elmhurst), Friday at Leo Catholic (Chicago).


21) Waukegan (17-6) (4A): Back in the poll. Beat rival previous #16 Warren Township (Gurnee) for second time. Lost to new #23 Stevenson (Lincolnshire). Leads North Suburban conference. Senior Xavi Granville has been the X factor. Wednesday host Libertyville, Friday at Lake Forest.


22) Warren Township (Gurnee) (17-8) (4A): Dropped six spots with two losses. Lost to new #21 Waukegan for second time. Senior Javerion Banks is getting back in the groove after being out a month. Wednesday host Mundelein, Friday host #23 Stevenson (Lincolnshire).


23) Stevenson (Lincolnshire) (16-8) (4A): New to the poll. Seniors Atticus Richmond and Winona State commit Aidan Bardic have led the way. Junior Donovan Williams has stepped up his scoring lately. Beat #21 Waukegan at home last week. Tuesday host Lake Forest, Friday at #22 Warren Township (Gurnee).


24) Niles North (Skokie) (20-6) (4A): Lost to previous #25 Loyola Academy (Wilmette) on the road at War On The Shore. Monday host Schurz (Chicago), Friday at Maine East (Park Ridge).


25) DeKalb (18-6) (4A): Lost to #14 Kaneland. Beat Sycamore and Waunakee (WI). Wednesday host #8 Waubonsie Valley (Aurora), Friday at Central (Naperville), Saturday host Lyons Township (LaGrange).
