1) DePaul College Prep (Chicago) (19-1) (3A):Stays at one. 3-0 week including impressive wins over previous #8 Mount Carmel (Chicago) and Vashon (St Louis, MO). Junior Rykan Woo keeps impressing. Junior Rashaun Porter has picked it up. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Prep (Chicago), Friday host #13 Brother Rice (Chicago), Saturday vs #5 Homewood Flossmoor at When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle).
2) Kenwood Academy (Chicago) (19-1) (4A): Stays at two. Survived previous #21 New Trier (Winnetka) at their MLK Classic as unknown senior Chris Watkins hit game winning three from corner. Won vs Chaminade (St Louis,MO) at Homewood Flossmoor MLK Classic. Senior Aleks Alston has picked up his all around game. Tuesday host Michele Clark (Chicago), Thursday host rival #22 Curie (Chicago).
3) Bolingbrook (20-2) (4A): Stays at three.. Beat up Lemont at Hoops 4 Hunger at Northwestern University, and previous #4 Benet Academy (Lisle) at New Trier (Winnetka) MLK Classic as sophomore Davion Thompson is on a roll. Senior Valparaiso commit JT Pettigrew is getting double/double's and rim protecting. Friday at West (Joliet), Saturday vs #16 Warren Township (Gurnee) at When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle).
4) Rich Township (Richton Park) (14-4) (4A): Moves up one spot. They are on a roll as they've won 11 in a row. Big conference win on road at Kankakee last week, Senior Al Brooks Jr, and juniors Jamson Coulter Jr, and Jayden Williams are playing well. Saturday at #8 Benet Academy (Lisle) at When Sides Collide, Sunday host Fenwick (Oak Park) at Breast Cancer Shootout.
5) Homewood Flossmoor (18-2) (4A): Moves up one spot. Senior Wofford commit Jayden Tyler had a clutch three point play at their MLK Classic to beat West (Joliet). Senior Lewis commit Arden Eaves scored his 1000th point. Tuesday at Bradley Bourbonnais, Friday at Sandburg (Orland Park), Saturday vs #1 DePaul College Prep (Chicago) at When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle).
6) Waubonsie Valley (Aurora) (21-0) (4A): Moves up one spot. Last unbeaten in Chicago Area. Seniors Illinois State commit Tyreek Coleman and Moses Wilson are dominating. Friday host Metea Valley (Aurora), Saturday vs #12 Marist (Chicago) at When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle). First big test of the season.
7) Hinsdale Central (19-2) (4A): Moves up two spots. Has won 17 in a row. Seniors South Dakota commit Vincas Buzelis and Tyler Thick are playing high level basketball. Friday host Proviso West (Hillside), Saturday vs Hillcrest (Country Club Hills) at Batavia Night of Hoops.
8) Benet Academy (Lisle) (18-4) 94A): Dropped four spots. Went 1-2 on the week. Lost to St Patrick (Chicago) and #3 Bolingbrook after leading by 9 at halftime. Senior Truman State commit Blake Fagbemi had 15 first half points and only 2 in second half. Friday at Carmel Catholic (Mundelein), Saturday host #4 Rich Township (Richton Park) at When Sides Collide.
9) Mount Carmel (Chicago) (17-3) (3A):Dropped one spot as they lost a tight one at home to #1 DePaul College Prep (Chicago) in rematch of last season's Class 3A title team. Tough team to deal with when Big Three of seniors Air Force commit Grant Best, Cameron Thomas, and junior Noah Mister are on at the same time. Beat previous #12 Rollijng Meadows. Wednesday at Marmion Academy (Aurora), Friday at #24 Loyola Academy (Wilmette).
10) Lincoln Park (Chicago) (17-3) (4A): Moved up four spots. Beat Bloom Township (Chicago Heights) at Homewood Flossmoor MLK Classic as junior Kaydin Williams had a big scoring game. Senior Chyase Turner has been consistent on both ends lately. Tuesday host George Westinghouse College Prep (Chicago), Thursday at Wendell Phillips Academy (Chicago), Saturday vs MacArthur (Decatur) at Metamora Shootout.
11) Kankakee (14-3) (3A): Dropped one spot. Had a 2 point loss to #4 Rich Township (Richton Park). Beat Romeoville at Homewood Flossmoor MLK Classic. Junior Lincoln Williams and senior Eli Stitt have been leading the way to this point. Wednesday at St Anne, Friday at Thornton Towsnhip (Harvey), Sunday vs Antioch at Breast Cancer Shootout at Rich Township (Richton Park).
12) Marist (Chicago) (18-2) (4A):Moved up three spots. Junior Stephen Brown is back form injury and has gotten a rhythm. Tough week ahead. 15) Kaneland (17-1) (3A): Moved up two spots. Have won 16 in a row. Team continues to roll as Hassan brothers senior Freddy and sophomore Jeffrey continue to rim protect and rebound in the paint. 16) Warren Township (Gurnee) (13-5) (4A): Dropped three spots. Lost second home game this season this time to Lake Zurich. Sophomore Jaxson Davis probably had the worst game of his high school career according to soem observers. Bounce back week for Blue Devils. 17) Simeon Career Academy (Chicago) (13-5) (4A): Moved up two spots. Survived at Fenwick (Oak Park) in two overtimes as senior Julien Doyle hit a baseline jumper to send game into overtime. Junior Kassidy Nelson hit two free throws with 3 seconds left to put the game away. Senior Lorenzo Shields is having a Mr Basketball type season. Senior Wash U St Louis commit Theo Rocca hit a big three in overtime. Tuesday at #24 Loyola Academy (Wilmette), Friday host Deerfield (revenge game), Saturday at Metamora for their shootout.

Senior guards Purdue Northwest commit Reid Olson and Yaris Irby have been on scoring tears. Beat Lake Park (Roselle) at Glenbrook South MLK Shootout and Lemont at Homewood Flossmoor MLK Shootout. 21) Fremd (Palatine) (18-2) (4A):Moved up one spot. Went 4-0 for the week. Won Lakes (Lake Villa) MLK Classic for third year in a row. Junior Jordan Williams was tourney MVP. Thursday at Palatine in Battle of Palatine. Bitter rivalry.
