Big Tim's Super 25 Chicago Area Boys Basketball Rankings After Week 9!!!!!

When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle) as usual was the best regular season basketball day of the year. Breast Cancer Shootout at Rich Township (Richton Park) on Sunday was entertaining. Rough week for Top 10 and now it's a Land of Confusion in the rankings. New number one as Kenwood Academy (Chicago) takes back the top spot. Fenwick (Oak Park) and Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn) reenter, Curie (Chicago) and St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago) drop out. Here we go:

1) Kenwood Academy (Chicago) (21-1) (4A): Moves up one spot.Beat Michele Clark (Chicago) and blew out rival previous #22 Curie (Chicago). Big week as they are at Whitney Young (Chicago) on Tuesday, Thursday at #7 Lincoln Park (Chicago).

2) Homewood Flossmoor (21-2) (4A): Moves up three spots. Went 3-0 for the week including surviving previous #1 DePaul College Prep (Chicago) at When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle). Senior Wofford commit Jayden Tyler is making a bid for Mr Basketball and Big Tim Area Player of The Year.Tuesday at Lockport Township.

3) DePaul College Prep (Chicago) (20-3) (3A): Dropped two spots. Had two heartbreaking one point losses to previous #13 Brother Rice (Chicago) and previous #5 Homewood Flossmoor at When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle). Tuesday host Montini Catholic (Lombard), Friday at Leo Catholic (Chicago).

4) Hinsdale Central (21-2) (4A): Moved up three spots. Went 2-0 for the week. Friday at #24 Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn) for second meeting in West Suburban Silver conference play. Lost the earlier meeting by two.Saturday at Bartlett.

5) Bolingbrook (21-3) (4A): Dropped two spots with loss to previous #16 Warren Township (Gurnee) at When Sides Collide at Benet Academy (Lisle). Beat West (Joliet) in a tight game. Tuesday host South (Plainfield), Friday host Yorkville.

6) Benet Academy (Lisle) (20-4) (4A): Moved up two spots. Went 2-0 for the week including win over previous #4 Rich Township (Richton Park). Friday host St Viator (Arlington Heights), Satuday vs #19 Evanston Township at War On The Shore at Loyola Academy (WIlmette).

7) Lincoln Park (Chicago) 20-3) (4A): Moves up three spots. Went 3-0 for the week as senior Chayse Turner went over 1000 points for career. Tuesday at Michele Clark (Chicago), Thursday host Kenwood Academy (Chicago).

10) Waubonsie Valley (Aurora) (22-1) (4A): Drops four spots with first loss to previous #12 Marist (Chicago). Senior Illinois State commit Tyreek Coleman was outstanding in defeat. 11) Brother Rice (Chicago) (19-3) (3A): Moves up one spot. Unusual to move up after a loss but when you beat previous #1 DePaul College Prep (Chicago) on their home court that's what happens.
