Biggest event was the Chicago Elite Classic which was a success once again. Some results in the games have preempted a shift in the rankings. #1 lost to a national prep school in Nike EYBL Scholastic League, which means they will stay in that spot. This week big event is Team Rose Shootout at Mount Carmel (Chicago). Here we go:
1) DePaul College Prep (Chicago) (5-1) (4A): Stays at 1. Beat Loyola Academy (Wilmette) and lost to nationally ranked LaLumiere (IN) at Chicago Elite Classic. Senior Brown commit Rykan Woo played well in both games. Three road games this week. Tuesday at Providence Catholic (New Lenox), Friday at St Francis (Wheaton), Sunday vs #3 Kankakee at Team Rose Shootout at Mount Carmel (Chicago).
2) Curie (Chicago) (2-0) (4A): Moves up five spots beating Crane Medical (Chicago) on the road and upsetting previous #2 Warren Township (Gurnee) coming back from 14 point second half deficit at Chicago Elite Classic. Senior Justin Oliver was MVP of the game. Tuesday host George Westinghouse College Prep (Chicago), Friday host Farragut Academy (Chicago), Sunday vs #10 East (Oswego) at Team Rose Shootout at Mount Carmel (Chicago).
3) Kankakee (3-0) (3A): Moves up 1 spot. Beat Thornridge (Dolton) as senior Lincoln Williams scored a school single game record 44 points along with 14 rebounds. Did everything to be MVP of the game vs Pace Academy (Atlanta, GA) at Chicago Elite Classic. Tuesday host Urbana, Friday host Thornton Township (Harvey), Sunday vs #1 DePaul College Prep (Chicago) at Team Rose Shootout at Mount Carmel (Chicago).
4) Marist (Chicago) (4-1) (4A): Dropped one spot. Beat King College Prep (Chicago), lost to Sidwell Friends (Washington, DC) at Chicago Elite Classic. Sunday vs #21 Hyde Park Academy (Chicago) at Team Rose Shootout.
5) St Laurence (Burbank) (6-0) (4A): Stays put at 5. Beat Comer, beat Rich Township (Richton Park) at Chicago Elite Classic. Sophomore Noah Corro was MVP of the game. Tuesday at Providence St Mel (Chicago), Friday host Fenwick (Oak Park), Saturday vs Walter Payton College Prep (Chicago) at Team Rose Shootout at Mount Carmel (Chicago).
6) St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago) (6-0) (4A): Stays put at 6. Beat DeLaSalle Institute (Chicago), beat Whitney Young (Chicago) as senior Yale commit Chris Bolte was game MVP. Tuesday at Marmion Academy (Aurora), Saturday host Immaculate Conception Catholic Prep (Elmhurst).
7) Warren Township (Gurnee) (2-1) (4A): Dropped 5 spots. Beat Auburn (Rockford), lost to previous #7 Curie (Chicago) at Chicago Elite Classic as junior Mr Basketball Jaxson Davis fouled out late in the game. Monday at North (Grayslake), Wednesday at Lake Forest, Saturday at #16 Waukegan.
8) Benet Academy (Lisle) (7-1) (4A): Stayed at 8. Won 4 games this week including 3-0 in Philadelphia (PA) (hope team had plenty of cheesesteaks). Beat Catholic Academy (Joliet), Roman Catholic (Philadelphia), St Joseph Prep (Philadelphia), and LaSalle College Prep (Philadelphia). Saturday vs Rich Township (Richton Park) at Team Rose Shootout at Mount Carmel (Chicago).
9) Fremd (Palatine) (5-0) (4A): Moves up 2 spots. Beat Evanston Township to win the Fenton Thanksgiving Tournament. Senior Illinois State commit Jordan Williams was MVP. Beat Barrington on the road. Tuesday at Buffalo Grove, Friday host Prospect (Mount Prospect).
10) East (Oswego) (5-0) (4A); Moves up 3 spots. Beat East (Plainfield), and North (Plainfield). Tuesday host Romeoville, Friday at #15 Bolingbrook, Saturday vs #2 Curie (Chicago) at Team Rose Shootout at Mount Carmel (Chicago).
11) Homewood Flossmoor (5-0) (4A): Moves up 6 spots. Beat Lincoln Way Central (New Lenox), Beat previous #10 Bolingbrook at Chicago Elite Classic as senior Marvin Douglas was game MVP. Tuesday at Bradley Bourbonnais, Friday host Stagg (Palos Heights), Saturday vs Mount Vernon at Carbondale.

13) New Trier (Winnetka) (5-1) (4A): Moves up one spot. Beat Maine South (Park Ridge), and Lane Tech College Prep (Chicago) at Chicago Elite Classic as senior High Point commit Danny Houlihan was game MVP. Tuesday at Zion Benton, Friday host Deerfield.
14) Kenwood Academy (Chicago) (4-0) (4A): Moves up one spot. Beat Dunbar (Chicago), Farragut Academy (Chicago), and Dyett (Chicago).
