It was so cold in the gym tonight I wore my big down coat the entire game. The teams were just as cold shooting the ball. Andrew shot 9 for 38 (23.7%) from the floor, Brother Rice shot 15 for 48 (31.3%) from the floor. Game was close till the last two minutes of the game. Here we go:

Brother Rice (Chicago) 37 Andrew (Tinley Park) 31 Final:

I tried to find the Class 7A Football State Championship trophy at Brother Rice (Chicago), but wasn't able to locate it. Also no Brother Rice Crazies tonight which contributed to the cold atmosphere in the gym. The weather as well as the shooting from the floor. Both teams put together enough baskets to make it competitive. Brother Rice led 8-7 after the first quarter, Andrew led 17-16 at recess, and Brother Rice led 26-25 after three quarters. Brother Rice hit enough shots in the fourth quarter to get a two possession lead in last minute. That was enough as Andrew couldn't hit the broad side of a barn tonight. Junior Ryan Dinnon of Andrew had opportunities to get a lot of rebounds, 18 of them to be exact, 14 defensive. Junior Aiden Henderson hit some free throws late to seal the win for Brother Rice.

Brother Rice (Chicago) ups it's record to 14-8, Andrew (Tinley Park) drops to 10-13.
