Habib ended up with 17 points as did senior forward Romel Howard, who had a double double with 10 rebounds. Star junior point guard Julio Montes was held to 3 points. 6'5" senior forward Darnell King had 23 points and 9 rebounds for Kenwood Academy. Morgan Park(Chicago) 73 Christian Brothers(MO) 72 Overtime. The Chicago Public League managed to keep from dropping to 0-3 in these head to head games with out of state opponents....BARELY!!!!! This became an intense game in the first half when a skirmish between both teams came about from an elbow to the face of Marcus Watson Jr by Mike West player. A couple of Morgan Park players came to the defense of their teammate. The end result was Isaiah Burrell of Morgan Park and Mike West of Christian Brothers being ejected. Morgan Park haha lead going into the fourth quarter, and had a five point lead late, but a technical foul on Watson Jr put Christian Brothers back in the game.
