Lane Tech(Chicago) 57 New Trier(Winnetka) 47. Lane Tech controlled this game throughout keeping a lead from 10 to 16 points from first quarter to garbage time in the fourth quarter. Louis Perona(6'3" senior guard) led the way with 13 points and 12 rebounds, a double/double. Lane Tech will be a tough game for any foe in the Chicago Public League Red North/West. Lane Tech goes to 3-2 while New Trier drops to 2-3 with their third loss in a row.

Evanston Township 62 Notre Dame College Prep(Niles) 53. Another prediction that I was wrong about, Evanston showed their big game experience and controlled this game throughout too. First Isaiah "Itchy" Holden(5'9" junior point guard) was aggressive early driving to the basket, and exploiting the mis match he had. Then, Blake Peters(6'1" junior guard) and Jaylin Gibson(6'4" junior guard) took over matters the rest of the game. Notre Dame transfer Daeshawn Hemphill(6'1" junior guard) pitched in here and there. Peters scored from three, on cuts to the basket, and drives to the basket and scoring. Gibson took over on both ends of the court, scoring, rebounding, and passing the ball on dribble penetration. Holden ended up with 9 points 6 rebounds and 6 assists and 2 steals.Peters ended up with 21 points, Gibson ended up with 15 points 6 rebounds 4 assists. Hemphill pitched in with 12 points. Notre Dame College Prep received quiet games from Anthony Sayles(6'3" junior point guard), Evanston transfer Louis Lesmond(6'6" junior wing) and Troy D'Amico(6'6" junior forward). Sayles had 11 points 4 rebounds, Lesmond had 15 points with most of them after the outcome had been decided, and D'Amico had 12 points and 8 rebounds. Evanston had only 6 turnovers to Notre Dame College Prep's 15. Evanston ups their record to 6-0 while Notre Dame College Prep drops to 5-1.

Fenwick(Oak Park) 58 Oak Park River Forest 48. This is another game where the winners controlled the proceedings throughout. A lot of the problem early was Oak Park star junior Isaiah Barnes(6'6" wing) committing 3 fouls in the first three minutes of the game. Fenwick has bragging rights in the Battle of Oak Park for the third straight year. Trey Pettigrew(6'4" sophomore point guard) pretty much did whatever he wanted with 22 points though he did commit a few turnovers. Louisville commit Bryce Hopkins(6'7" junior wing) had a double double with 17 points and 10 rebounds though he shot 5 for 16 from the floor. 6'5" sophomore guard Gabe Madej ended up with 9 points. Senior Kyren Gardner led oak park River Forest with 14 points, Barnes had 12, and 6'8" senior forward Justin Cross had 13 points and 10 rebounds, a double/double. Fenwick ups their record to 4-1, while Oak Park River Forest drops to 1-3.
