I spent this live period watching Nike EYBL Memphis session and had my ear listening about other circuits. This is the first time in awhile I've written about national players. Hope to again at the Pangos All-American Camp. This is a special class nationally at the lead guard position. Here’s some sure fire future NBA players and a couple of sleepers I've seen in person. Here we go:
BECKHAM BLACK, AB ELITE (TX) NIKE EYBL: 6'4" do it all guard had a big time weekend and has been tracking for awhile. I first saw him as a youngster at The Circuit Championships in Las Vegas in 2021. He was watching his older brother Anthony ball out for 3D Empire. He's with the Orlando Magic now about to sign a second contract. Beckham would run on the court between timeouts and halftime's shooting baskets. He was getting ready for his turn. It's his turn now and he's a three level and two end force. Has a nice long range jumper (better than Anthony at same stage), cerebral, creates for himself and others. Does it off the dribble or getting it up the floor with a pass. Athletic with big time bounce. Is considered the #1 point guard in the class and top 5 player according to 247 composite. Defends a number of positions on the perimeter, uses his hands to get steals on the ball, or in passing lanes. Can also post up opposing guards on or off the block. I last saw him play in May 2025 in Indianapolis. He's gotten stronger and more fluid since then. I look for him to follow his brother to the NBA, and sure fire McDonald's All-American. Plays for Southeast Prep (FL), originally from Dallas, TX Metroplex.
REESE ALSTON, COOZ ELITE (TX) NXTPRO/PRO 16 PUMA: 6'3" can do anything he wants on the court. Two end force, athleticism is off the charts. I first saw him play at Pangos Southwest Frosh/Soph Camp in fall of his sophomore year. He was named MVP of the camp. Son of former NBA player Rafer "Skip To My Lou" Alson, who's also an And 1 mix tape legend (go watch his videos). Lil Skip has that flair in his game but he's a little more smooth with it. Doesn't get sped up as he changes speeds well. Gets where he wants off the dribble, and finishes over or around contact in the paint. Will try to dunk on you!!!!! Three level scorer who can hit threes, whether off the dribble, the catch, or step back. Defends all perimeter positions, quick hands gets steals on or off the ball. I also saw him play at Kevin Brown Memorial Shootout in Washington, IL Thanksgiving week 2025. Best player in the entire event. Makes nice passes in transition or in the halfcourt. Ranked #3 point guard and 16th in 247 composite. I think he ends up higher than that. I look for him to play in the NBA like his father and sure fire McDonald's All-American. Plays for Second Baptist (Houston, TX) and has led them to back to back Texas TAPPS (private schools) titles.
NASIR ANDERSON, ATLANTA CELTICS ADIDAS 3SSB: 6'4" power guard is tough to keep out of the paint. He's long, strong, finishes through and around contact. Bullies opposing guards in the paint area. Lefty finishes strong driving that way downhill. Has improved his three point shot, has a nice release point on it. I haven't seen him play in person but have watched him online at Adidas 3SSB and with his high school team. Uses length and strength to defend on the ball, and hunts steals in passing lanes. Nice mid range floater and can get the ball to teammates at the three point line. Only 16 years old (WOW), great future upside.I think he's a sure fire McDonald's All-American and future NBA player. Ranked #2 point guard and 8th in 247 composite. Plays at Prolific Prep (FL). Originally from Savannah, GA.

CAYDEN DAUGHTRY, FLORIDA REBELS NIKE EYBL: 6'2" is an extraordinary scorer and big time deep three point shooter. This was my first time watching him play and it was online. Explosive off the bounce and athletic off the floor. Sets up himself or teammates well, in transtion or halfcourt. One of the top scorers on the Nike EYBL Circuit. Defends on the ball very well, quick feet to stay in front of other guards. Can play on or off the ball. Hits threes off the catch, bounce, or step backs. Deep range out to 25 feet. I feel he'll make McDonald's All-American and has a chance at the NBA as he gets stronger. Ranked #4 point guard and 18th in 247 composite. Plays at Calvary Christian (FL). Originally from Boynton Beach, FL.

JAXSON DAVIS, MEANSTREETS (IL) NIKE EYBL: 6'1" cerebral lead guard who plays hard on both ends as a two way force. Ultimate floor general who knows where all his players are at all times. Lefty has a deep jumper from three mostly off the bounce. Gets downhill into the paint with crossovers and inside/out dribbles. He has a nice mid range floater and finishes at the rim with up and unders, Euro step, and occassionally with dunk on defenders. Can't speed him up as he plays at his own speed and tempo. Makes nice passes in transiton up the court, sometimes without a dribble. Nice vision to see up the court, and make nice passes to three point shooters, or lobs to bigs in dunkers spot. Quick hands gets steals on or off the ball. Gets into opposing guards and makes them work. Two time Illinois Mr Basketball. Will be a challenge to get to McDonald's All-American game. Team USA tryouts for U18 team will go a long way towards that goal. Good chance to play in the NBA. Ranked #13 point guard and 50th in 247 composite. Plays at Warren Township (Gurnee).
DAVION THOMPSON, MEANSTREETS (IL) NIKE EYBL: 6'2"and his super power is as a scorer. Gifted putting the ball in the basket on all three levels. Lefty has a smooth stroke from three, can get into the lane and score on fallaway jumpers, and up and unders for layups. Can go on scoring binges to put games away. Clutch performer can score with the game on the line. Is improving as a distributor to teammates for open shots. Defends multiple positions, has quick hands to get steals. Opponents put bigger guards on him and he still scores, try equal size quick players on him and he still scores. Likely more of a combo guard in sense he can play both. Will be close for McDonald's All-American, and good chance at the NBA as his type of player can be found all over the league. Team USA U18 tryouts will help him solidify McDonald's All-American position. Ranked #5 point guard and 20th in 247 composite. Plays at Link Academy (MO). Originally from Bolingbrook, IL.
SLEEPERS:
MARKESE PEOPLES, YOUNG N RECKLESS BRIM (IL) RECRUITLOOK: 6'3" power floor general national guys do not know about. Big bodied gets anywhere he wants on the floor off the dribble. Uses inside/out dribble and crossover to get into the paint. He either powers through contact, or goes around to score with either hand. Athleticism is off the charts as he'll dunk on you if needed. Once he gets into the paint it's usually over, as he can score, drop off a pass to a cutting big, or kick it out to three point shooters. Has a nice mid range floater, lefty who scores alot at the rim with his right hand. Hangtime in the air helps him score through or around contact. Defends on the ball or off the ball at a high level on the perimeter. Moves his feet well and uses his body to keep players out of the paint. Quick hands gets steals on the ball, or can go into passing lanes to create one. Has a nice lefty stroke from three, but mostly attacks the paint as no one can keep him out. Doesn't have a 247 profile but should real soon. Won't make McDonald's All-American, but don't be surprised in a couple of years if he's in the NBA Draft. Plays at St Laurence (Burbank, IL).
TOURE NOUR GASSIM, GATEWAY KNIGHTS BASKETBALL COLVIN (MO) P32 NEW BALANCE: 6'4" floor general is starting to look to score a little more. He's a lead guard who's unselfish finding his teammates in transition or halfcourt. He was reluctant to shoot but is now showing three level scoring. He hits three either off the bounce or the catch, has a smooth dribble to get into the paint. Has a nice mid range jumper, and can finish at the rim with step throughs, or just rise and dunk on you. Scores at the rim with either hand. Big time athleticism and uses it on both ends of the court. Disruptor on defense on the ball or off the ball. Uses long arms to get deflections and steals getting out in transition. Throws nice alley-oops and can catch them as well from the dunkers spot. Can't speed him up on offense, plays at his own pace. I've watched him develop over the last two years at the Highland (IL) Shootout in early January. Won't make McDonald's Game but might make them regret it a couple of years later. Great chance to play in the NBA. Ranked #22 point guard and #131 in 247 composite. Plays at The Principia School (St Louis,MO). Has helped them to consecutive Missouri State Titles.
