Class of 2027 Top 50 players in Illinois!!!!

First installment of Top 50 players in the state of Illinois for Class of 2027. This class started out as loaded but has been ravaged by transfers to out of state schools or prep school factories. Top player overall in the state is in this class, and of course he's number one. Top two players are travel ball teammates on Meanstreets Nike EYBL. Still some top talent in the class. Here we go:
1) Jaxson Davis, 6'1" point guard, Warren Township (Gurnee): Reigning Mr Basketball in Illinois and the top player in state regardless of class. Smooth operator can't be sped up, plays at his own pace. Pushes the ball up the court without a dribble as he keeps his head up at all times. Lefty knocks down threes from long range, finishes through and around contact at the rim. Has developed a nice fallaway jumper from mid range. Defends liek a hawk on the ball, getting steals and defelctions at a high rate. Floor general and leader on and off the court. Division one offers from a lot of Power 5 schools.
2) Quinton Kitt, 6'6" wing, East Peoria: Big time scorer especially from mid range with a nice fallaway off one foot. Attacks off the dribble from the wing backing his man down and shooting over smaller defenders. Hits the three at a high level off the catch or the bounce. Rebounds very well for his position on defensive glass. Multiple division one offers.
3) Markese Peoples, 6'2" combo guard, St Laurence (Burbank): Most unstoppable force in the state. Can't be sped up, handles the ball with tight handle, gets where he wants with a crossover dribble. Big bodied guard finishes through contact at the rim with both hands, or can go around with a Euro step. Big time rebounder on both backboards, and can pass off the dribble or out of the post. The Peep Show is worth price of admission.
4) J'Dyn Lloyd, 6'6" combo guard, West (Belleville): Could move up on this list if he is able to play against shoe companies or on one of the circuits. Doing it all with size to handle, pass, and shoot. Can run a team with nice passes, can score at all three levels with a nice three point stroke. King of Bounce can attack and dunk on defenders at the rim.
5) Hayden Schroeder, 6'8" forward, Wheaton Academy (West Chicago): Versatile forward who's a monster posting up in the paint. Has jump hooks, turnaround jumpers, spin moves, up and unders, and power dunks at the rim. Can step out and hit threes mostly off the catch. Improving at attacking the rim off the bounce. High level rebounder.
6) KJ Miller, 6'7" wing, East (Plainfield): Versatile guard who can play all three perimeter positions. Scores from long range three pointers, mid range jumpers, and attacks to the rim off the dribble for dunks. Long arms gives opposing players on the perimeter fits, getting deflections and steals. Good passer in the halfcourt, rim protects with blocked shots off the ball. Slick ball handler.
7) Keshaun Manney, 6'2" point guard, Central Catholic (Bloomington): King of Bounce who can get where he wants off the bounce. Attacks the rim in transition and finishes through and around contact with Euro step finishes. Nice passer in halfcourt or in transition. Has added the three point shot with consistency off the bounce or the catch. Defends at a high level with quick hands getting steals, and dunking on players at the rim. Two sport athlete as he plays football.
8) Alex Sirbu, 6'9" center, Buffalo Grove: Double/double machine who puts up consistent numbers every night. Scores on the block with either hand using jump hooks, spin moves at the rim to get away from defender and finish. Steps out to hit mid range jumpers as well as rim protect with blocked shots. Changes ends well in transition, defends pick and roll well. High motor.
9) Damari Stephens, 6'5" point guard, Kenwood Academy (Chicago): Big floor general who gets downhill with no problem. Strong body who has nice spin moves to get to the rim. Nice mid range jump shot and uses Euro steps to get baskets at the rim. Improving three point shooter off the bounce. Makes nice passes to teammates.
10) Edvardas Stasys, 6'7" forward, Benet Academy (Lisle): State champion who hits the offensive glass at a high level. Can step out and hit threes, or post up on the block and score with turnaround jumpers. Rim protector on defense, runs the floor well. Will dunk on you at a moments notice. Has division one offers.
11) Travis Brown, 6'1" point guard, West Aurora: Floor general who can run a team and show great leadership. Makes nice passes to teammates in halfcourt or transition to set up easy baskets. Three level socrer who does it in a smooth way. Quick hands can get steals and get it up the floor in transition.
12) Cole DuBois, 5'10" point guard, East Peoria: Exciting player to watch. Get your popcorn ready for the show. Young man plays with a flair on the court, making no look passes, finding cutters for lasyups in transition or halfcourt. Has ball on a string. Range to the parking lot when he enters the gym. Will pull-up from deep in transition. Nice floater from mid range, uses nice up and under finishes at the rim. Plays passing lanes well for steals.
13) Jacob Fuller, 6'8" forward, Glenbrook South (Glenview): A threat from three trailing in transition. Steps out and hits them mostly off the catch in the halfcourt. Can hit them from 25 feet and in. Rebounds well on the defensive end. Gets up the court well in transition.
14) Mason Martin, 6'5" combo guard, Neuqua Valley (Naperville): Best catch and shoot three point shooter in the class. Cannot leave him unattended in the halfcourt or in transition. Has improved his attacking game off the dribble as he can finish at the rim, and has a nice fallaway mid range jump shot. Good passer in the halfcourt.
15) Jeffrey Hassan, 6'9" forward, Kaneland: One of the top rim protectors in the state. Blocks shots into the third row. Changes ends in transtion and is a dangerous lob threat in the dunkers spot. Offense is improving as he's attacking more off the bounce from the perimeter. He can step out and hit threes. Could move higher on this list.
16) Kendall Meyers, 6'6" wing, Marist (Chicago): Big bodied athlete that has serious bounce and will dunk on you at a moments notice. Has a nice mid range pull-up jumper in transition or halfcourt. Hits threes mostly off the bounce, and finish through contact at the rim. Defends using his body to keep players in front of him.
17) Jamier Montgomery, 6'2" combo guard, Crane Medical (Chicago): Nicknamed "Middie" for his deadly mid range jump shot. Ball on a string gets where he wants on the court using that nasty mid range pull-up jumper. He also hits threes off the catch or the bounce, quick attacks to the rim and finishing on the break. Improved using an economy of dribbles to get where he wants.
18) Deven Marshall, 6'3" combo guard, Rock Island: Big time three level scorer getting where he wants off the dribble. Hits threes, gets to the mid range to score on pull-up jumpers or fadeaways. Finishes through contact at the rim, or Euro step finishes.
19) Lamari Carpenter, 6'5" combo guard, Glenbard North (Carol Stream): Could move up on this list in the future. Plus athlete who finishes through contact at the rim dunking on defenders. Hits mid range jumpers and three point shots to open up his drives. Defends multiple positions on defense, hits the glass, and makes nice passes in the offense.
20) Jayden Taylor, 6'1" point guard, Perspectives Leadership (Chicago): Stone cold scorer adn can do it in a number of ways. Knows when to pass or when to score. Three level scorer who can hit threes in bunches off the dribble or the catch. Nice pull-uip mid range jumper, and scorers around the rim with creativity in a variety of ways.
21) Vito Rocca, 6'5" forward, Evanston Township: Living La Vito Rocca (take off the song living la vida loca). Plays hard all the time, gets on the floor for loose balls. Improving skill level as he hits threes mostly off the catch. Attacks the rim with force and finishes through contact. Crashes the glass with reckless abandon. High motor young man.
22) Dawson Charles. 6'3" wing, St Viator (Arlington Heights): King of Bounce who'll dunk on you at the rim. Will do it in transtion off the bounce, from the perimeter, or in the dunkers spot. Hits threes in transtion or halfcourt, off the bounce, or the catch. Defends a number of perimeter positions, rim protection blocking shots off help side.
23) Oturo Redento, 6'5" wing, Glenbard North (Carol Stream): Smooth operator on the perimeter getting to his spots off the bounce. Hits threes off the bounce in transtion or halfcourt. Makes nice passes moving the ball or off the dribble. Hits the glass on both ends and scores in the mid range.
24) Maurice Thompson, 6'2" combo guard, Zion Benton: King of Bounce who can shoot it from three off the catch or the bounce. Creates off the dribble in transition, or the halfcourt. Makes good passes, unselfish will look for teammates though he's an explosive scorer. Versatile defender. Defends all perimeter positions getting deflections, steals, getting out in transition for a game changing dunk. Can run the offense as well as play off the ball.
25) Myles Montgomery, 5'11" point guard, Sacred Heart Griffin (Springfield): Explosive point guard with quickness pushing the ball in transtion setting up scores at the rim for himself or teammates. Defends on or off the ball at a high level. Gets steals and passes it up the floor to teammates running lanes. Has an division one offer from Eastern Illinois.
26) Kris Mporokoso, 6'4" combo guard, Waubonsie Valley (Aurora): Lefty is a big time deep three point shooter from long range. Hits them off the catch with a quick release. Has shown he can attack the rim off the bounce and dunk the ball. Makes nice passes off the bounce or moving the ball in the halfcourt.
27) Timmy Sloan, 6'5" point guard, Lyons Township (LaGrange): Jumbo point guard who moves the ball well with passes to teammates in halfcourt or in transtion. Shoots the three at a high level when needed. Unselfish always looking for his teammates before his own offense. Good ball handler in transition or halfcourt.
28) Reggie Stevens, 6'3" combo guard, St Laurence (Burbank): Knockdown three point shooter who's improving attacking the rim off the bounce. Multi dimensional player as he defends at a high level using his long arms to get deflections . Hits threes off the catch or the bounce.
29) Nojas Venckus, 6'3" combo guard, Lockport Township: Big time three point shooter off the catch, bounce or stepback. Can change a game with his shooting hitting them in bunches. Scores in the mid range with pull-ups or stepbacks. Can also attack the rim off the bounce and finish at the rim. Good passer can run point as well. Great combination with twin brother Nedas.
30) Nedas Venckus, 6'3" combo guard, Lockport Township: Big time three point shooter off the catch, bounce or stepback. Can change a game with his shooting hitting them in bunches. Scores in the mid range with pull-ups or stepbacks. Can also attack the rim off the bounce and finish at the rim. Good passer can run point as well. Great combination with twin brother Nojus.
31) Cameron Dunson-Riggs, 6'5" point guard, Bloomington: Could move up on this list. Has played little high school ball with some off the court issues. Talent is there as he's a big point guard who can get where he wants off the dribble. Makes nice passes off dribble penetration, finishes at the rim through and around contact. Hits threes off step backs, catch, and dribble. Defends any position on high school level.
32) Omar Ajanovic, 6'6" wing, St Patrick (Chicago): King of Bounce who'll dunk on you at anytime off the bounce, or dunkers spot. Can step out and hit threes off the catch. Crashes the glass on both ends, getting nasty followup dunks. RIm protector who can block shots on or off the ball. Changes ends well in transtion flying up and down the court.
33) Noah Cook, 6'6" forward, South (Crystal Lake): King of Bounce who'll dunk on defenders at anytime. Two handed, one handed, or from dunkers spot. Attacks off the dribble from the perimeter or in transition. Scores in the paint either on the block or penetrating off the dribble. Blocks shots mostly from help side. Can hit threes as well.
34) Arthur Abbey, 5'10" point guard, Rock Island: Floor general is a big time shooter. Range is as soon as he walks in the gym. Creates three point shots off the bounce or off the catch. Gets dribble penetration to set up teammates or score on mid range floaters. Uses quickness to defend on the ball and get deflections.
35) Osiris Bell, 6'1" point guard, Kenwood Academy (Chicago): Explosive three level scorer who can get his shot at anytime. Balancing when to score or when to set up teammates. Hits threes off the catch or bounce, nice mid range pull-up jumper, attacks the rim and scores on up and unders. Defends on and off the ball.
36) Dshaun Bolden, 6'5" wing, East (Oswego): King of Bounce who's an improving three point shooter. Hits them off the catch mostly at this point. Scores well in transition at dunkers spot, or getting offensive rebounds and put backs. Defends frontcourt positions on high school level.
37) Caden Crudup, 6'5" wing, Whitney Young (Chicago): Knockdown three point shooter who hits them off the catch, mostly from the corners. Changes ends and gets to his spots, takes a pass, and uses quick release to get shot off. Has shown he can hit step back threes.
38) Tray Alford, 6'0" point guard, Christian (Yorkville): Lefty gets anywhere he wants off the dribble. Scores on threes off catch or dribble, attacks the rim and scores around contact. Plus defender who gets in the face of offensive players. Explosive scorer on team that plays at fast pace.
39) Collin Tobin, 6'3" point guard, Niles North (Skokie): Is getting his first real varsity action this season. Versatile point guard who can handle, pass and shoot. Three level scorer who can put up points in bunches. Hits threes off the catch or the bounce. Moves well off the ball to get open. Attacks the rim and finishes through contact, or makes nice passes to shooters. Defends on or off the ball. Had a 40 ball with 10 threes in fall league game.
40) Camarion Weathers, 6'1" combo guard, Hyde Park Academy (Chicago): Young man is not a big time scorer though he can do that if needed. Versatile player who can play a number of positions on offense or defense. Rebounds at a high level, defends hard on the ball, makes good passes to set up teammates for baskets.
41) Jackson Snider, 6'5" combo guard, Wheaton Academy (West Chicago): Talented scoring versatile wing who can hit threes, pull-up mid range jumpers, and attacks to the rim. Defends a number of positions with good feet. Two sport star (soccer) helps with that. Plays hard all the time moving constantly. Hits the glass on both ends of the court.
42) Ben Whorlow, 6'8" forward, St Francis (Wheaton): Young man just does his job, doesn't try to do anything outside of his ability. Soft hands, he scores on the interior with back to the basket, rebounds, rim protects, and can step out and hit threes. Makes good outlet passes after getting the rebound.
43) Jarrel Brown, 6'6" wing, Normal Community: Nice long frame with a soft touch on bis jumper. Rebounds at a high level, changes ends well. Versatile defender who can guard any position on high school level.
44) Ryan Dinnon, 6'7" forward, Andrew (Tinley Park): Stretches defenses with his three point shooting mostly of catch and shoot variety. Can attack the rim off the bounce from the perimeter. Hits the glass hard on both ends of the court.
45) Xavier Martin, 6'5" wing, Bloom Township (Chicago Heights): Strong interior player scores at the rim, on the block, or on rebound put backs. Rim protects in the paint by blocking shots, and changing shots.
46) Logan Wessel, 6'4" wing, Mount Carmel (Chicago): Knock down shooter who a three level scorer. Hits threes off the catch or the bounce.
47) Rowan Weller, 6'3" combo guard, Edwardsville: Floor general who can run an offense. Hits threes as well as attacks the rim drawing defense to him to dish out to shooters.
48) Asa Harris, 5'10" point guard, Leo Catholic (Chicago): Good passer who can penetrate off the bounce and score in mid range, or get it to shooters. Hits threes at a high rate as well.
49) Sivante Stokes, 6'3" combo guard, Canton: Athletic finisher at the rim. Can run a team from point. Scores at the rim on up and unders, Euro steps and through contact. Good passer in halfcourt or transition.
50) Zane Schneider, 6'3" wing, Lemont: Versatile scoring guard who can hit threes, attack the basket and finish through contact. Relentless getting to the rim and creating for himself and others. Two sport athlete (baseball).
NOTE: Have not seen Hunter Froman 6'4" combo guard of West Hancock play as of yet. Should get a chance to check him out at the Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions at Washington High School (Illinois) Thanksgiving week.
