Crane Medical led from start to finish in running clock blowout win. This crew is trying to get them back to the times of Wil Bynum, Florentino Valencia, Lorenzo Thompson and McDonald’s All-American three sport star Sherron Collins. Talents there still trying to put it together.
Crane Medical (Chicago) 86 Manley (Chicago) 51:
Game was over pretty much from the start. Still was an entertaining game. Senior Tyler Smith was a one man show for Manley, who’s waiting for eligibility clearance on a couple of players. He had a game high 32 points scoring on attacks to the rim, getting to the line, and hit a couple of threes. Added 7 rebounds and 3 steals. To me most underrated point guard in Chicago Public League. Crane had to go to a zone late in the game to stop his drives. Senior Evan Harris started it early with 3 threes in first quarter, Junior Jamier Montgomery had 4 of his 5 assists in the quarter. Crane led 27-9 after one and 57-19 at halftime. Led by 36 at end of third quarter and running clock throughout the fourth quarter. Crane Medical ups record to 3-4, 1-2 in Chicago Public League Red West. Manley drops to 1-5, 0-3 in conference.
