Evanston Township's dominance over New Trier(Winnetka) continued last night with a 50-40 win in the Bob Bost classic at Beardsley Gym in Evanston. Evanston Township methodically took down New Trier with ball control and consistent effort on the defensive end. The Wildkits were cold from the three point line, especially in the first half. They ended the half with two threes from sophomore guard Rashawn Bost, and one from senior guard Jerome "Jigga" Smith. Bost had been struggling with his shooting, but was 2 for 4 from three(the other two rimming in and out) to finish with a career high 10 points. He played well on the night his late grandfather was honored. Evanston Township controlled the game in the second half keeping a 10 to 15 point lead throughout the half. The 10 point margin was the smallest in the second half. Junior guard Blake Peters led the team with 12 points, as only two Kits ended up in double figures. John Carragher led the Trevians with 21 points. Evanston Township moves on to play three time defending Class 2A Champ Orr(Chicago) on Sunday at the Team Rose Shootout(Mount Carmel). Evanston Township is now 7-0, 2-0 in conference while New Trier(Winnetka) drops to 3-4, 0-2 in conference.
