Evergreen Park Sunday Showcase Superlatives!!!!!!

This is a very underrated shootout with some big time players in all the games. Here's the recap and top players:


Richards(Oak Lawn) 48 Lake Forest Academy 39: I missed the first half of this game but MVP was Lavell Nash of Richardsa with 12 points.


Lemont 58 St Laurence 54: Sophomore sensation Nojus Industraitis was game MVP with 27 points and 10 rebounds a double double. Lemont controlled the game till the third quarter when they apparently forgot they have a superstar on this team. They started getting him the ball in scoring position in the fourth quarter and won the game. Junior guard Rokas Castillo had 17 points for Lemont. Senior guard Brandon McCoy had a double double of 14 points 13 rebounds for St Laurence.


Mount Carmel 67 Oak Lawn 56: Mount Carmel ran away with it the last two minutes of the game. Junior point guard DeAndre Craig was game MVP, as he dominated proceedings the entire game. Had 27 points 4 rebounds 6 assists 2 steals. Junior Angelo Ciaravino 15 points on 3 three pointers. Oak Lawn was led by senior guard John McGowan 19 points on 6 threes. Senior guard Nico Reyes 14 points on 3 three pointers.


Evergreen Park 80 Marist 73 overtime: This game changed on one call, an egregious charging call in second quarter on junior guard Xavier Suliaman of Marist. It was his second foul, then a minute later picks up his this foul and had 17 points at that time. He ended up with 27 points 4 assists. Meanwhile senior forward Malik Kelly went to work for Evergreen Park. Had a double double of 24 points 11 rebounds. Also Avantae LeFlore made the game typing basket to send it into overtime. Had all 12 of his points in second half. Forward Baker Nelson had 17 points on 3 threes, Devin Horton had 11 points. Senior guard Sebastian Drag had a double double of 20 points 10 rebounds for Marist. Junior guard Kaden White had 18 points and 4 assists.


Homewood Flossmoor 51 Brother Rice 46 Overtime: This one had some good stuff. Ahmad Henderson II had a three to win it in regulation but missed. He did not shoot well for Brother Rice ended up with 7 points. Senior forward Christian Meeks another double double with 22 points 14 rebounds. Junior forward Jaden Watson led Brother Rice with 10 points along with junior guard Peter McShane with 10.


Leo Catholic 69 Oak Forest 65. Leo's 5 guard lineup overcame the size of Indiana state commit Robbie Avila in a comeback win. Junior guard Jakeem Cole(I got the name right this time) is inserting himself into conversation as a big time guard in the class. He had 23 points 5 rebounds 2 steals. Senior guard Cameron Cleveland had 15 points 4

rebounds 4 assists 5 steals. Robbie Avila was a beast with 23 points 17 rebounds 5 assists 4 blocks. Senior guard Taurean Mickens had 15 points. Senior Fred Robinson 13 points 5 rebounds for Oak Forest.



Great Sunday shootout I'll try to go every year, they did a great job with the matchups as there were two overtime games and last game could have. Hope to be there next year thanks for having me.
