They did it with a defensive effort that kept St Patrick scoreless through most of the fourth quarter. Brother Rice went on an 18-0 run from senior Jack Weigus three point shot at the third quarter buzzer till 22 seconds left in the game when St Patrick finally scored. It was 31-30 St Patrick when the basket ended the third quarter. Senior Citadel commit Marcos Gonzales was able to gert in the gaps of the 1-3-1 zone to make plays. He made some big passes to Weigus for three pointers. He hit 5 of them for his game high 15 points. Gonzales also was able to hit senior Caden Workman for some nice passes that led to layups. Workman had 14 points and 7 rebounds. Gonzales ended up qith 11 points 5 rebounds and 2 steals. St Patrick had one player in double figures senior Cooper Kavanaugh with 10 points.
