Jack Tosh Holiday Tournament Day 1!!!!!!!!

Writer's picture: Big TimBig Tim

I was over at York for the evening session. I only watched 2 full games so here we go:

Rolling Meadows 68 Conant(Schaumburg) 52: Max Christie is a highly decorated player. He's won a Gold Medal with Team USA U-16 last summer, and is one of the best players on the Under Armour Travel Circuit with the Illinois Wolves. The one thing he had not accomplished was winning the 1st game at York and staying in the winners bracket. It happened tonight as the Mustangs had a 27-23 halftime lead. They took over in the third quarter as they had multiple players step up and hit threes in that quarter. Rolling Meadows cruised in the fourth quarter as Max Christie had 24 points 10 rebounds 8 assists 2 steals. The Mustangs also had senior guard Jonah Ogunsanya with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Sophomore guard Orlando Thomas had 12 points 4 rebounds on 2 for 4 from three. This is the best talent Max Christie has had around him, but most of it is young. Rolling Meadows moves to 8-2 and on to the Round of 16, while Conant drops to 0-9 and moves to the consolation round.

Bolingbrook 79 Minooka 49: My first time seeing them all year, they are quick. Senior guard Darius Buford should run track. This game was over very quickly as Bolingbrook had a 35-19 and cruised. Buford had 21 points and 2 steals, junior guard Kai Evans 19 points, senior guard Myles Cooper and junior guard Isaiah Stafford with 10 points. Minooka was led by senior guard Trent Hudek who's a very good player had 15 points, senior forward Shane Ooms had 14 points. Bolingbrook freshman forward Donaven Younger and freshman guard Mekhi Cooper both received a lot of minutes. Younger had 2 points and 7 rebounds, Mekhi Cooper had 6 points on 2 for 4 from three. Bolingbrook moves to Round of 16 with a 7-3 record while Minooka drops to 1-9 and the consolation round.
