Junior Donovan Williams continues his scoring binge for Stevenson (Lincolnshire) in win at Warren Township (Gurnee)!!! Antonio "AJ" Flenoid Jr of Meridian (Mounds) leads top performances in the state!

Seniors Winona State commit Aidan Bardic and Atticus Richmond had double/doubles to help Stevenson to a big win. They take the lead in the North Suburban with Waukgan's loss tonight to Lake Forest. Here we go:

Stevenson (Lincolnshire) 58 Warren Township (Gurnee) 56:

First quarter:

Donovan Williams came out firing for Stevenson who controlled this game most of the way. Williams had 12 points (4/6 FG, 2/3 3PT) in the first quarter to give his team control. Stevenson led 17-10 after one quarter. Warren came out cold from the field 4 for 11 from the floor in the quarter.

Second quarter:

It was played on even terms as both teams had to adjust to officials allowing a lot of physical attack go especially on drives to the rim. Senior Javerion Banks of Warren Township had 7 points in the quarter. Bardic had 7 for Stevenson who outscored Warren 16-15 in the quarter. Score at half was Stevenson up 33-25.

Third quarter:

Stevenson kept control as they ran their half court offense and looked to score mostly on drives to the rim and rebound put backs as they were 0/4 from three in the quarter. Warren was not much better as they went 0/3 from three in the quarter. Stevenson outscored Warren 14-11 in the quarter for a 47-36 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Fourth quarter:

Stevenson almost gave all the lead back as they had a few turnovers and bad shots in the quarter. Warren outscored Stevenson 20-11 in the quarter. Banks started attacking the rim and scoring, drawing fouls, or both. He had 9 points in the quarter only shooting one three point shot. Warren cut it to three, then Banks drove and scored a layup with 2.8 seconds left to cut it to 57-56. Warren called their last timeout and fouled Bardic. Bardic hit the first and purposely missed the second. Warren got the rebound but could not get a shot off in time.

Stevenson has won 6 in a row and 9 of it's last 10 to take the lead in the North Suburban Conference. Williams has led them in scoring multiple times in the last two weeks. Looks very confident with his offense.

Warren Township (Gurnee) has gone 4-3 in it's last 7 games. Banks is getting implemented into the offense but they have to fix things fast. Playoff time is around the corner.

Stevenson (Lincolnshire) ups it's record to 17-8, 9-2 in North Suburban Conference
