SHARIFE COOPER(AOT)- Class of 2020 6 foot point guard was on his game at the Peach Jam. He creates at the basket, finishes strong with great body control for his height. He has a serviceable three point shot, though he has to get a quicker release for the next level. His vision penetrating to the basket is at a high level. His team won their Pool but lost a tough matchup in Overtime with Boo Williams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZ3zHupFP0A. His matchup with Class oI 2021 Zion Harmon was worth the price of admission. I thought he was an Auburn lean but I was told Kentucky has a better chance than most think.
ISAIAH TODD(NIGHTRYDAS)- Class of 2020 6’10” forward was in foul trouble both games I watched. He’s a versatile Big who can shoot the three and score inside with equal aplomb. He has a nice jump hook on the block and rebounds at a high rate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCx_tn_Xj2c. It looks like sometimes he’s not doing much on the court, but you look up and he has a double/double. I maintain Kentucky is very high on is list and is very likely to be a Cat. The buzz at the Peach Jam is Oklahoma State is trying to package him with Cade Cunningham. Kentucky, Kansas, Maryland, North Carolina and Oklahoma State are his schools.
CADE CUNNINGHAM(TEXAS TITANS)- Class of 2020 6’7” guard was at his usual dominant best most of the Peach Jam. He’s a versatile player who can handle, pass, and finish at the rim. His three point shot is serviceable and can give other guards trouble with other guards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcIs7eVyRH0. His team went undefeated in Pool play but was upset in Quarterfinals by Team Why Not. His brother is now an Assistant Coach at Oklahoma State which is a game changer in his recruitment. Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Duke, North Carolina,Memphis,Florida,Texas,Washington, Virginia, and Kansas are his 10 schools.
SCOTTIE BARNES(NIGHTRYDAS)- Class of 2020 6’9” wing has to play point guard for his team and he played it very well. He showed an improved three point shot, finished at the rim, and passed the ball to his shooters. His defense was above average and he was in passing lanes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joYWwCAjGW8. His recruitment I was told not much interest in Kentucky though we are on his list. He’s a Kentucky target till told otherwise in my opinion. Kentucky, Oregon, Ohio State, Florida State, Duke, California amongst others.
NIMARI BURNETT(TEAM WHY NOT)- Class of 2020 6’4” point guard was excellent on both ends of the court all week. He has deep range on his jumper, can get to the basket and finish. He has developed a nice floater and defends the best player on the other team. His team advanced out of Pool play on point differential and was one tip in from winning the title. Here’s some highlights from his play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkFqUZT2JRQ. Kentucky has not offered but has shown interest.
