Lake Park (Roselle) takes control of DuKane Conference race with road win over #25 Glenbard North!!!

Lake Park wins a tough game with their star senior Camden Cerese (#1) only scoring 9 points on 4-14 rom the floor. He's averages 26 points a game. He did have 4 rebounds 7 assists. He had two teammates that took up the scoring slack. Lots of top scoring performances tonight in the state. Here we go:








CAROL STREAM, ILLINOIS: LAKE PARK (Roselle) 49 #25 Glenbard North (Lombard) 45. Glenbard North came in undefeated. They did a good job corralling Cerese in their 1-3-1 zone with some long athletes. Lake Park though had a couple of players step up. Senior Dennasio Lagiola (#22) had 18 points on 6 threes, including the game winner off an assist from Cerese with 11 seconds left. For Glenbard North senior forward Jalen Crues had a huge game with 23 points and 8 rebounds along with 2 steals and a block. Game was a tight defensive struggle most of the game. Glenbard North led 10-8 after 1, then Lake Park came back in 2nd to lead 22-20 at half. Lake Park still led 31-30 at end of three, Then the fourth quarter no one led by more than three till the end of the game. After Lagiola's three to give Lake Park a 47-45 lead, Glenbard North lad a chance to tie or take the lead, but did not get a shot off and turned the ball over. Glenbard North fouled senior Tommy Rochford (#42) with 0.4 seconds left. Rochford, who had 18 points 3 rebounds 2 steals and 2 blocks, made two free throws for the final margin. Rochford and Lagiola picked up the scoring slack from a bad shooting night from Cerese. Senior JJ Hernandez added 13 points 3 rebounds 3 assists and 3 steals for Glenbard North. Lake Park (Roselle) ups it's record to 8-1, 4-0 in conference, while Glenbard North (Carol Stream) dropped to 8-1, 4-1 in conference.
