NXT PRO CHICAGO CAMP SUPERLATIVES!!!!!!

Writer's picture: Big TimBig Tim

This was held at The Sports Center in Schaumburg. Thanks to Justin Matcham for having the event and having me out. Some good talent in the building and some big time plays made. Here we go:

MVP:

MOSES WILSON, WAUBONSIE VALLEY (AURORA): Class of 2025 6'5" combo guard was on point hitting shots from all three levels of the floor. The most assertive and aggressive that I've seen him on both ends. Got rebounds, steals, made some nice passes in transition and the halfcourt. He had the dunk of the day with a tomoahawk dunk over Class of 2026 6'5" guard Andre Tyler, who's a plus athlete himself. Look for a huge jump in his senior year. Made Top 20 all star game.

IOWA PLAYER SHOWED HE'S BIG TIME:

DAVID JOINER, NORTH (DAVENPORT, IA): Class of 2026 6'0" combo guard showed his scoring chops along with elite passing and getting steals on defense. He hit threes, penetrated and scored in mid range and at the rim. He was aggressive looking for his shot and was very efficient on the offensive end. Quick off the dribble and was getting to the basket at will.

CLASS OF 2028 PLAYERS WHO SHOWED OUT:

ANFERNEE MOORE, RICHWOODS (PEORIA): 6'3" combo guard showed a nice shot from three and used his strength to get to the basket. He was productive the entire day at the event and hit the defensive boards. He pushed the ball up court to start the offense or made a good outlet pass.

ORLANDO EDWARDS JR, PEORIA: 5'9" combo guard has a reputation as a lefty knockdown shooter from the wing. He showed that as well as the ability to run the point and lead a team. Had the ball in is hands here and created for himself and others.

ROOSEVELT "DUKE" THOMAS, DELASALLE INSTITUTE (CHICAGO): 6'3" combo guard absolutely dominated the Top 20 all star game. He scored from three with an improved stroke from long range. He used his strength to get to the basket and score through contact. Hit the glass on both ends, and made some nice passes off the bounce. Did this throughout the event.

DANIEL SALKAUSKAS, AMOS ALONZO STAGG (PALOS HILLS): 6'5" wing has some nice skills hitting threes off the catch and off the bounce. He can post up in the paint and score on the block. Good ball handler who can bring the ball up the court and set up offense.

KAI HARVEY, HOMEWOOD FLOSSMOOR: 5'11" point guard showed he can run a team getting some nice passes in transtion and showed he can hit the three point shot specifically off the bounce.

DETROIT BASKETBALLLLLLLLL:

DEVIN LEE, CENTRAL CATHOLIC (DETROIT): Class of 2025 6'3" combo guard showed his strength on drives and finshing through contact at the rim. Hit a few threes in the scrimmages. Played tough defense on the perimeter and in the post.

THIS YOUNG MAN SHOULD BE GETTING MORE CLOCK AT HOMEWOOD FLOSSMOOR:

RYAN CLEMONS, HOMEWOOD FLOSSMOOR, 6'2" combo guard was everywhere here. He scored at all three levels of the court, hit the glass, ran the floor, defended, and hit shots off the dribble and off the catch. Talented young man who should be getting time with Homewood Flossmoor.
