CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp was back at DeLaSalle Institute (Chicago) on South Side of Chicago by Chicago White Sox Ball Park (name of stadium always changes by sponsors). I'd like to thank Dinos Trigonis, Ron Flores, his crew for putting on another great event. Also DeLaSalle Institute for allowing event to be held in their gym. Once again I was a part of the process of picking Top 30 and Top 60 Cream of The Crop Game. The Kentucky boys dominated the camp, all from the Derby City of Louisville. They drove up I-65 North and brought the heat. Here we go:

CAMP MVPS:

TREY HILLERICH, 6'10" Class of 2028 forward, Male (Louisville, Kentucky): Big man showed versatility the entire camp, scoring in the post, on mid range jump shots, stepping out and hitting threes mostly from the corners. Rim protected in the paint blocking shots and altering them. Changed ends well getting out in transition and scoring on lob dunks, up and unders. Showed a soft touch from the mid range and deep shooting. Made Top 30 game.

LANDON LAMPLEY, 6'7" Class of 2028 wing, Pike (Indianapolis, Indiana): Showed all the skills of a perimeter wing player on both ends. Scored from three off the bounce and off the catch, had athletic attacks to the rim finishing with strong dunks, and hanging scores at the rim. Defended all positions on the perimeter moving his feet and getting steals. Showed a nice floater from mid range on drives and fadeaways. Total package on a perimeter player. Made Top 30 game.

TOP 30 CREAM OF THE CROP MVP'S:

JORDAN MITCHELL, 6'4" Class of 2028 combo guard, Male (Louisville, Kentucky): Scored every which way with the basketball in the game. Made some steals and scored in transition. Did whatever he wanted out there dominating the game.

KEIWON GULLEY, 5'9" Class of 2029 point guard, Bloom Township (Chicago Heights, Illinois): Explosive small guard that scored on attacks to the rim through contact over tall timbers in the lane. Scored in transition using his quickness and explosiveness. Made some nice passes to shooters and lobs for dunks. Scored from three mostly on transition pull-up jumpers. Nice mid range pull-up and fadeaway jumpers. King of Bounce who had a tomahawk dunk on fast break in camp games. One of the top incoming freshman in Illinois.
