I ventured out to Glen Ellyn to Glenbard West to check out a West Suburban Silver conference game against conference foe York Community. Hilltoppers have a young team with only 2 seniors but they pushed York for most of the game. Here we go:

#14 York Community (Elmhurst) 46 Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn) 39: Both teams played zone, York a 2-1-2 and Glenbard West their standard 1-3-1 zone. The only one that seemed to have a rhythm out there was Penn commit AJ Levine, who hit big shot after big shot to keep his team ahead by a comfortable margin. Oh yeah he let the Glenbard West student section know it too by putting his finger by his mouth to shut them up. York led 12-8 after first quarter, 20-18 at half, and 36-27 after third quarter. Levine made 2 threes to give them a push in the third quarter. Fourth quarter Glenbard West cut the lead to five before a couple of crucial turnovers in the last 2 minutes pushed the lead to the final margin of 7. York Community ups it's record to 21-4, 8-1 in conference. Glenbard West drops to 12-12, 4-4 in conference.
