Per Adam Zagoria Class of 2020 wing Phillip Wheeler(WHO?) of Ranney High School in New Jersey is skipping his senior year of high school to play pro ball in Italy. This is not unheard of as a few years ago Jeremy Tyler of San Diego skipped his junior AND senior year of high school to play overseas. It has not worked out so well for him transferring it to an NBA career He’s not in Top 100 Nationally but is a 6’7” wing. It‘s said he has a high ceiling as a player, but has had some academic troubles. This is an entirely different way to try and reach the NBA. More Players May try this route until the NBA changes the high school rule, and/or the NCAA aka 2A gets off it’s duff and pays the players a decent wage. Blessings to him on his journey.
