SLEEPER PROSPECT CLASS OF 2026

CEDRICK CARTER: INTRINSIC DOWNTOWN (CHICAGO)

Not many people know about this young man who plays in the Lake Shore Athletic League with a bunch of small private high academic schools. It is a charter school located near the Gold Coast of Chicago. Plays in Class 3A for boys basketball. A 6'8" wing who runs with Team Fred Van Vleet (FVV) on the PRO16 NXT/PRO LEAGUE Puma Circuit.

Changes ends well, rim protects with athleticism and timing at the rim. Can take a rebound and push the ball in transition on his own, or throw a nice outlet pass to a guard. Steps out and hit threes either off the bounce or off the catch. In the half court, he can catch a pass on the wing, and take two of three dribbles and finish above the rim with an awe inspiring dunk.

For his travel team he mostly rebounds and rim protects, runs the floor, gets to the dunkers spot, and can finish above the rim, either through contact, or an easy catch and dunk. Good hands can catch passes in or out of his area. Same with rebounding the basketball. Passes well out of the post. Great potential to be a wing on the college level, as he's a versatile wing with a myriad of skills. Scholarship player, either at mid to low Division one, or Division two.
