Scottie Barnes commits to Florida State.

Class of 2020 6'9" combo forward Scottie Barnes of Montverde Academy(FL) commits to Florida State over Oregon. He's a consensus Top 10 player in Class of 2020. He had scheduled an official visit to Kentucky for this coming weekend. Needless to say that visit has been cancelled. He has stated he wants to play point guard in college. It looks like Florida State will give him the opportunity to do that. He played point guard for the Nightrydas on the Nike EYBL Circuit and did a half decent job at it. They made it to the Peach Jam Finals but did not advance out of pool play. He was thought to be an Oregon lean, even called it his dream school, but he's staying close to home.
