Lindblom came from the South Side of Chicago to take a bite out of the Lions in their den. They came out wounded with Lion bites as the small gym was their undoing. Turnovers and double teaming high scoring Cleveland State commit Je'Shawn Stevenson Jr helped Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park's celebration in the locker room shows the City Title still means something to the young men, coaches, and the school. Here we go:
Lincoln Park 62 Lindblom Math and Science Academy 55: Sophomore forward Larry Harris is a King of Bounce. Dunks easily off vertical and gets high for defensive rebounds. Second jump on the offensive glass is quicker than most. He showed he can also attack off the bounce from 15 feet and finish at the rim which he did multiple times in this game. He also scored off some feeds from fellow sophomore Ahmad Lee who played a great floor game. Lincoln Park double teamed Stevenson Jr most of the game. When they didn't they put a box and one on the Cleveland State commit using multiple defenders to keep the ball out of his hands. Stevenson Jr still had an effect on the game with multiple steals and deflections. Lincoln Park held him to 11 points for the game. Lincoln Park led the entire game as they took an 18-10 lead at the end of first quarter. Led 30-22 at half and 48-40 at end of three. Lindblom came back in the fourth to tie it at 55 after a couple of baskets from senior Quentin McCoy, but Lincoln Park went on a 7-0 run in the last 1:30 to seal it. Lincoln Park ups it's record to 19-8, while Lindblom drops to 16-11 and prepares for the Illinois State Playoffs.
