Superlatives In Chicago Area High School Basketball tonight!!!!!

First lets start with the War On The Shore as I then worked my way over to the WEST SIEEEDE!!!!!!!! Orr Academy for the Breast Cancer Shootout which I was able to watch the last three games and I'll go over those games.


War On The Shore:


#5 New Trier came back in the second half from 9 down to beat #12 Rolling Meadows as senior forward Dartmouth commit Jackson Munro went nuts again with 25 points on 3 three pointers and 10 rebounds a double/double. Junior Noah Shannon had 12 points 4 assists. Junior Cameron Christie had 18 points 4 assists and senior Orlando Thomas had 15 points 5 rebounds and 4 assists in loss for Rolling Meadows.


Lake Forest blew out Evanston Township as Alex Forowyzk had 19 points, Tommie Aberle 10 points 8 rebounds 5 assists, junior Asa Thomas 10 points 8 rebounds 5 assists.. They dominated from start to finish.


Glenbrook South Head Coach Phil Ralston won his 400th game tonight with win over Loyola Academy. Senior Cornell commit Cooper Noard had 18 points.


Orr Breast Cancer Shootout:


North Lawndale College Prep beats Proviso East as senior Vincent Mayes had a huge game dominating the interior. He had 17 points 18 rebounds(double double) and 7 blocks. Junior Ronald Chambers had 25 points on 3 three pointers 8 rebounds, junior Jemarje Whitfield 12 points 4 assists, junior Aidon Parker 10 points and 5 rebounds. Senior Javon Johnson led Proviso East with a double double of his own with 20 points 10 rebounds 5 assists and 2 steals. Senior Damari Pressley had 20 points 3 steals. Junior Diamonte Meeks had 17 points 6 rebounds and 6 assists in a losing cause.


Cardinal Ritter(St Louis,MO) beats #7 Curie(Chicago) in overtime. There was some controversy as they missed a point in regulation for Cardinal Ritter. They did end up winning the game but that could have been crazy ugly. Senior forward Robert Lewis of Cardinal Ritter had himself a GAME!!!!! He had a double double with 30 points 18 rebounds along with 3 blocks. Sophomore Clayton Jackson had 11 points, senior Braxton Stacker had 11 points 7 rebounds 2 steals and 2 blocks. Junior Jeremy Harrington Jr led Curie with 17 points 8 rebounds 4 steals. Junior Chikasi Ofoma had 9 points 8 rebounds 2 steals and 6 blocks in losing cause.



Yorkville Christian, a Class 1A power upset #6 Class 4A power Kenwood Academy as senior Duke commit Jaden Schutt had 30 points 6 rebonds in win. Senior KJ Vasser had 26 points on 6 three pointers 7 rebounds in win. Senior Tyler Burrows had 10 points 7 assists. Junior Davius Loury led Kenwood Academy with 18 points 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Senior Nevada commit Trey Pettigrew had 13 points, junior Darrin Ames had 12 points and 4 assists in first game off knee injury for the losers.


Senior guard Cam Lawin had 29 points in win over Confluence(MO).




#1 Glenbard West had another blowout as they beat up on St Charles North by 32 points. 4 players in double figures seniors Princeton commit Caden Pierce 16, Gonzaga commit Braden Huff 13, Bobby Durkin 13, Illinois walk-on commit Paxton Warden 11. They stay undefeated.


JaKobe Cole 26 points 5 rebounds for Leo Catholic in win over Pontiac.


#10 Whitney Young was blown out by 30 at Nike Extravaganza in Santa Ana,CA by undefeated Bishop Gorman(Las Vegas,NV) senior Miami(FL) commit AJ Casey had 18 points.


Senior Julian Triffo 23 points for Maine South in win over Marshall(Chicago).


St Rita lost at the Vashon(St Louis,MO) InvItational to Vashon(St Louis,MO). Sophomore James Brown had 14 points.

Sophomore sensation Nojus Industraitis of Lemont had 19 points in win over Neuqua Valley.


Senior Jaylen Drane 28 points for Simeon Career Academy in win over Morgan Park.


Junior Jalen Griffith a double/double 11 points 10 rebounds for Simeon Career Academy in win over Morgan Park.


Senior JaQuwan Payton 30 points 4 rebounds 5 assists 4 steals for Perspectives Leadership in win over Gwendolyn Brooks.


James Stevenson Jr 20 points for Momence in loss to Marmion Academy.
