New Trier wipes out Rolling Meadows tonight 72-40. This was a basketball execution as New Trier shot about 65% for the game. Senior guard Noah Shannon for New Trier went absolutely bonkers in the first half. He had 24 points at halftime. Rolling Meadows team had 23 total as it was 40-23 at half. No run came from Rolling Meadows as New Trier outscored them 15-11 in third quarter. Soon after it was 66-34 and a running clock. Shannon ended up with 26 points. Senior Dartmouth commit Jackson Munro had a great all around game with 13 points 6 rebounds 8 assists and 2 steals. Senior guard Josh Kirkpatrick was the third Trevian in double figures with 13 points 5 rebounds. Junior guard Cameron Christie led Rolling Meadows with 9 points. So much for this being the toughest sectional in the state as the top two seeds Glenbrook South and New Trier rolled through their sectional semifinals the last two days. They will face each other in a Sectional Final on Friday. Split the season series as both teams won on the road. May not bode well for Glenbrook South, but we will see.
