Yes the King is dead. Class 2A will have a new champ as DePaul College Prep(Chicago) beat three time defending champ Orr Academy(Chicago). There are whispers that Coach Lou Adam is retiring, but I've heard that before. Addendum: word has come that Mr Adams is retiring. It's been a fun ride for him. Three State Titles and wondering who's going to be his replacement. Lemont upsets top seed Hillcrest 40-35 as sophomore sensation Nojus Industraitis 16 points(12 in the fourth quarter) 7 rebounds in win. Lemont was down 15-0 AT END OF FIRST QUARTER AND STILL WON!!!!!!! MY GOODNESS!!!!!!

#2 Glenbrook South(Glenview) 69 #24 Evanston Township 53: The hosts owned the game from the beginning as they went ahead 12-2 in the first three minutes and breezed. This is believed to be the first time Evanston Township is not in a Sectional Final since 2016. Senior Elon commit Nick Martinelli dominated and led the way with 25 points 6 rebounds 3 assists and 3 blocks. Senior Cornell commit Cooper Noard came back from eye injury to hit 18 points on 3 three pointers 5 rebounds. Titans also received a big game from junior guard Gavin Marr 10 points 6 rebounds 3 assists 3 blocks. Evanston Township was led by a big time game from senior guard Rashawn Bost 21 points 4 rebounds 2 steals in his final high school game. Glenbrook South advances to it's own Sectional Final and will face winner of #16 Rolling Meadows vs #7 New Trier(Winnetka) game which is tomorrow night. Sectional Final is Friday.
