1) Adam Miller, Morgan Park(Chicago)- 6'4" combo guard to me is still the best player in the state. He had an uneven Peach Jam for Mac Irvin Fire, but is still the Top dog. He has shooting range out to 25 feet, has a floater, and is finishing at the rim. He has to work on his defense(like most high school stars). He just cut his school list to 10 of Northwestern,Illinois, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri,Louisville, NC State, Wake Forest, Chicago State, and Arizona State.
2) DJ Steward, Whitney Young(Chicago)- 6'2" combo guard has been real popular lately with his monster play on the EYBL Circuit for Meanstreets then continued it at the Peach Jam. He slithers through the lane and finishes at the rim, has long range shooting out to 22 feet, and has improved his mid range floater. He needs work on his defense(of course). He has just received offers from Duke and North Carolina along with a host of others in pursuit.
3) Ramen Hinton, Cure(Chicago)- 6'3" wing has shown consistent three point shot and finishing at the rim in the Spring and Summer playing for Team Rose on Adidas circuit. He is a tenacious defender with improving foot work. Wisconsin Green Bay,Kent State, Boise State, St Louis, and Cleveland State among a host of Mid Majors in pursuit.
4) Marcus Watson Jr, Morgan Park(Chicago)- 6'0' point guard has led the Nike EYBL in assists all Spring and Summer for Mac Irvin Fire. He had a solid showing at the Peach Jam running the show, finishing at the rim, and hitting a few three point jumpers though he needs improvement there. Illinois, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin Green Bay, Oakland, Valparaiso, and Chicago State are his schools.
5) Martice Mitchell, Bloom(Chicago Heights)-6'10" Big loves to float on the perimeter(a little too much in my opinion), he's a good rebounder and great shot blocker. He stated the Spring with Mac Irvin Fire and then ended it with Team Young and Reckless. He does have a good three point shot, and with natural weight gain can be a good stretch 4 in college. Rutgers, South Florida, New Mexico, Murray State and Tulsa along with a host of schools on his trail.
