I will say this: Chicago Area in Class 2A is the hardest sectional and supersectional to get out of on the Road to Champaign. There's a couple of games that will be ridiculously competitive.
North Lawndale(Chicago):
Orr Academy(Chicago) vs DePaul College Prep(Chicago): Biggest game so far in Class 2A. You have a three time defending champ Orr vs a team who was in the State Finals in Class 3A last time they were held. This was a highly anticipated game since it was announced during the fall that DePaul Prep was dropped to Class 2A. They played before a few years ago in a game that Orr prevailed. All those guys have moved on though so this will be an interesting game. Can DePaul Prep dethrone the King? Senior guards Trevon Thomas and Alex Gutierrez will be key for DePaul Prep in matchup versus senior point guard Leontae Lilly, and senior guard three point sniper Cam Lawin. Can Orr slow down Milwaukee commit big man Dylan Arnett of DePaul Prep? They will have to in order to advance. Senior wing Caleb Hannah will need to have a big game defensively and on the glass.
Julian(Chicago):
Wendell Phillips(Chicago) vs CICS Longwood(Chicago): Phillips won the regular season matchup of Chicago Public League Red South Central foes. Keys will be senior guard Terrence "Tre" Jones who does a little bit of everything for Longwood. Senior point guard Da'Qwon Hargrove will be key to controlling tempo and senior forward Biondre Patton will have to hit the boards for Longwood. Phillips senior guards Jaheim Savage, Anthony Bell will have to be solid and low turnovers. Senior forward Rehime Crain will have to control the glass for Phillips.
