Top performances in state of Illinois boys high school basketball tonight 1 FEB 2025!!!!! War On the Shore Review!!!!!

War on the shore at Loyola Academy (Wilmette) had some big time performances in event. I saw only the final two games. Proceeds went to the Danny Did Foundation for Epilepsy. Here we go:



#19 Evanston Township 59 #6 Benet Academy (Lisle) 55:



Evanston took over in the fourth quarter as senior Theo Rocca (Wash U St Louis commit) hit two huge threes in the last two minutes to put the game away. Then he hit 3 of 4 free throws to slam the door.

Senior Theo Rocca 18 points 8 rebounds 2 steals



Senior Kaidan Chatham 12 points 8 rebounds 4 assists 1 block



Freshman Ben Ojala 9 points



Benet Academy (Lisle):


Senior Blake Fagbemi 18 points (7/18 FG) 5 assists 1 steal


Junior Colin Stack 13 points 7 rebounds 1 steal 4 blocks


Junior Jayden Wright 11 points 1 steal



#25 Loyola Academy (Wilmette) 68 #20 Niles North (Skokie) 63:




Loyola Academy pretty much led from wire to wire. Niles North cut a 15 point lead down to 3 in the last minute of the game, but Loyola made 5 of 5 free throws late to secure the win. Senior Brendan Loftus (Miami, Ohio football commit) had a career high 40 points, and junior Trey Williams had a triple double.
