Top Players At Team Rose Shootout!!!!!!!

Writer's picture: Big TimBig Tim

I will say I only say one game in a half on Saturday and was there pretty much all day Sunday. I did not see the second half of Clark vs Notre Dame College Prep, so no players on the list from that game. I want to thank Coach Mike Oliver, his staff, and the staff at Mount Carmel for the hospitality and treating the media very well as usual. Here we go:

Jaden Schutt, Yorkville Christian- 6'5" senior Duke commit was hitting shots from all over the court in win over Hyde Park(Chicago). He hits shots from all three levels of the court in scoring 35 points. Looked the part of one of the top players in the State.

Braden Huff, Glenbard West(Glen Ellyn)- 6'11" senior Gonzaga commit went for 25 points 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in 3 point victory over Hillcrest(Country Club Hills). He was a good press breaker bringing the ball up the court and setting up the offense. Had 2 key blocked shots in last minute of the game. He took over part of the fourth quarter with a couple of threes, a nasty dunk on a drive, and a post up bucket. Best player in the state hands down.

Bobby Durkin, Glenbard West(Glen Ellyn)-6'7" senior Army commit scored 13 points with a couple of three pointers and nice drives to the basket. Hit 2 key free throws to put his team up by 3 in last 5 seconds of the game.

Isaiah Green, Hillcrest(Country Club Hills)- 5'10" sophomore guard had a big time performance in the biggest game of his career so far. He had 13 points with a couple of threes in the fourth quarter to keep his team in it. Had a key steal late jn the game in near upset.

Darrion Baker, Hillcrest(Country Club Hills)- 6'7" junior had 11 points and some key offensive rebounds which drew fouls on Glenbard West. He's becoming a very good prospect with three point range.

DeAndre Craig, Mount Carmel(Chicago)- 6'1" junior point guard's three point shot was not falling as he hit only 2 of them. His quick first step and attacking of the basket is exquisite. He ended up with 20 points in win over Westinghouse and is an improved defender. Team is 10-0.

Anthony Ciaravino, Mount Carmel(Chicago)- 5'11 junior guard hit 4 three pointers in scoring 14 points for the knockdown shooter. Loosens up the defense for the Caravan and did it in win over Westinghouse.

Askia Bullie, Westinghouse(Chicago)- 6'1" sophomore guard gave the Warriors a lift in the second half in loss to Mount Carmel. Ended up with 14 points on a variety of drives na da couple of three point shots. Needs to improve his free throw shooting.

Joshua West, Westinghouse(Chicago)- 6'1" guard was solid in scoring 14 points in loss to Mount Carmel. Scored on a couple of nice drives to the basket in the second half. Was quiet in the first half though game was tied at halftime.

Dajuan Bates, DeLaSalle Institiute(Chicago)-6'0" guard had 17 points on a variety of drives to the basket and fast break buckets. He used his quickness and leaping ability to full effect in win against Farragut Academy(Chicago).

Ahmad Henderson II, Brother Rice(Chicago)- 5'9" point guard just controls games especially for someone as short as he is. You cannot speed him up and this game he made some defenders look foolish in trying to guard him. He scored 16 points in the win and his defense limited Joliet West freshman star Jeremiah Fears to 7 points.

Leontae Lilly, Orr Academy(Chicago)- 5'10" senior point guard had 19 of his 26 points in the first half in win over Tinley Park. He scored in a variety of ways, on threes, drives to the basket, and pull-up mid range jumpers. He gave his team energy early after long overnight bus ride from Memphis to Chicago.

Cameron Lawin, Orr Academy(Chicago)- 6'4" guard is just a stone cold knockdown shooter. You have to commit a defender to him at all times on the perimeter. Knocked down a number of three point shots on his way to 20 points. Best at catch and shoot opportunities.

Nick Harrell, Tinley Park- 6'6" senior wing ran the floor well and scored in a variety of ways. Had 15 points in loss to Orr Academy.

Jeremy Harrington Jr, Curie(Chicago)- 6'5" forward has been an inside force and rim protector all year for the Condors. Did it again yesterday with a double/double of 18 points and 12 rebounds in win over Leo(Chicago).

Chikasi Ofoma, Curie(Chicago)- 6'7" forward was homeschooled till this year. Was very productive with a double/double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Was outstanding as a rim protector jumping straight up and altering a lot of shots.

Cameron Cleveland, Leo(Chicago)- 6'2" senior guard has been very consistent so far this season, He was again in the loss to Curie. Had 12 points hitting a couple of threes and made some baskets on strong drives to the basket.
