Big Tim's All Chicago Area Team Seventh Edition!!!!!

Player of the year has been named, now the rest of the team which is 25 members. It was hard to pare down and left some guys who had great seasons off the team, but.......Here we go:



TONY BALANGANAYI, 6'4" senior forward, Palatine: Illinois football commit. Monster in the paint with good footwork. Can score over either shoulder in the paint. Averaged 18 points 8 rebounds 6 assists on 64% from the field. Big body showed rim protection not by blocked shots, but positioning taking charges, and showing a big time paint presence. CHARLES BARNES JR, 6'5" senior wing, Marist (Chicago): Class 4A State Champion. Game made huge jump in aggressiveness after transferring from DeLaSalle Insitute (Chicago). Averaged 17.4 points 5.8 rebounds scoring from all over the court. Used long arms to get deflections on defense. Did just enough on both ends to lead school to first state title. Travel team: Y & R. TOREY BASKIN, 6'2" senior combo guard, Hoffman Estates: One man wrecking crew for a team that finished 27-5 and won the Mid Suburban East title. Averaged 24 points 4 rebounds 4 assists 4 steals on 55% from the field, 33.3% from three. Filled the stat sheet as the only scoring threat at times. Travel team: Greater Purpose Athletics. CHRIS BOLTE, 6'7" senior wing, St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago): Yale commit. Second team All City selection. Lefty showed scoring from all three levels on a Class 4A Sectional title winner. Averaged 17 points 9 rebounds 3 assists shooting 48% from three. Hit the glass on both ends of the floor. Travel team: Breakaway Basketball. Twitter handle: #@chrisbolte24.



MARQUIS CLARK, 6'2" senior combo guard, Whitney Young (Chicago): Tennessee commit. First team All City. Had to carry his team offensively at times showing explosive scoring ability specifically attacking downhill. Averaged 36 points 10 rebounds (double/double) 5 assists shooting 51% from the field, and 40% from three. Only experienced player on team led the Dolphins to Chicago Public League Red North title. MARSHAWN COCROFT, 6'0" senior point guard, Kaneland (Maple Park): Grand Valley State commit. Scorer who has turned into an effective floor general. Led Kaneland to best season in school history with Class 3A third place finish and 36-1 record. Won Interstate Eight title. Scored over 2000 points for his career. Got to state finals in Class 1A as a sophomore at Christian (Aurora). Two time tournament MVP at Plano Christmas Classic. Travel team: Illinois Wolves. Twitter handle: @MarshawnC3.



JAXSON DAVIS, 6'1" junior point guard, Warren Township (Gurnee): Player of the year for the second time and on this team for third straight year. Averaged 25 points 6 rebounds 5 assists 4 steals for North Suburban Champ. DARRIUS HAWKINS JR, 5'11" sophomore point guard, Homewood Flossmoor: Led a young team deep into the playoffs getting to Class 4A Sectional Final. Two end force using quickness in getting to the paint and scoring as well as getting steals on and off the ball. Lefty hits threes at a high rate. Averaged 18 points 6 assists 3 steals. Team won Southwest Suburban Title. Travel team: Brad Beal Elite. Twitter handle: @dhawk_15.



TYJUAN HUNTER, 5'7" senior point guard, Hope Academy (Chicago): Repeat selection went up to Class 2A and dominated with two end play. Shoots from deep and a nice mid range floater. Quick hands gets steals on and off the ball. Best small guard in the state since Tyler Ulis. Went over 2000 points for career. Led team to a 26-8 record and Chicagoland Christian title. Went to Class 2A sectional final. Won Class 1A state title as a junior. Travel team: Mac Irvin Fire. Twitter handle: @Tyjuan_hunter.



COLE KELLY, 6'7" sophomore wing, Neuqua Valley (Naperville): Repeat selection. Lefty showed three level scoring on threes, mid range jumpers, and attacking the rim off the bounce. Showed imrpoved feel with his passing. Averaged 20 points 8 rebounds 4 assists 2 steals on 52% from the field. Led team to best record in school history of 32-2 and DuPage Valley Title as well as DeKalb Holiday Title. Went to Class 4A Sectional semifinal. One of Top 40 sophomores in the country. MASON LOCKETT IV, 6'5" senior combo guard, East (Oswego): DePaul commit. Showed he can play either guard position with no problem. Great vision as a passer and King of Bounce. Averaged 19 points 5 rebounds 5 assists. Went over 1000 point mark this season for career. Team finished 20-12. Travel team: Y & R. Twitter handle: @themasonlockett.



MICHAEL NEE, 6'3" senior combo guard, Glenbard East (Lombard): South Dakota commit is a knockdown shooter from deep specifically off the catch and shoot variety. Cannot leave him open, attention to detail as a defender is imperative. Averaged 19 points 6 rebounds 4 assists. Scored over 1800 points for career. Led team to one of best season's in school history with 30-4 record and to Class 4A Sectional Title game. Travel team: Breakaway Basketball. Twitter handle: @michaelnee23.



JUSTIN OLIVER, 6'0" senior point guard, Curie (Chicago): King of Bounce explosive athlete who'll dunk on you at a moment's notice. Quickness gets him to the basket to finish through and around contact. Hits threes off the bounce or catch. Led team to Chicago Public League Red Title and Class 4A Sectional Final and 29-2 record. MARKESE PEOPLES, 6'2" junior combo guard, St Laurence (Burbank): One of the most unique talents in the state. Unstoppable in the paint scoring through and around contact. Strong hands to gather rebounds in traffic. Good passer out of post or off the bounce running the offense. Averaged 17.2 points 7 rebounds 3 assists 1.8 steals on 65% from the field. First team Chicago Catholic League (only junior to make it). Travel team: Y & R (also a long time Chicago Demons player). Twitter handle: @kese1_.



BRADY PETTIGREW, 6'4" sophomore combo guard, Bolingbrook: King of Bounce who can play multiple positions on the perimeter. Two end monster gets steals with quick hands and long arms. Three level scorer who has athletic finishes in the paint over and around defenders. Averaged 21 points 5 rebounds 3 assists. Led team to Southwest Prairie West title and Class 4A Sectional Title game. Slam dunk champ at Iolani Classic in Hawaii. Top 15 sophomore in the country. Travel team: Brad Beal Elite. JAKE POLLACK, 6'9" senior forward, Deerfield: Dartmouth commit. Led team to best finish in school history Class 3A runners-up in first state finals appearance. Inside/out scorer and rim protector. Lefty has a smooth stroke from deep and jump hook on the block. Averaged 17.7 points 8 rebounds 2 assists. Went over 1000 point mark for career this season. All Tournament at Mundelein Thanksgiving Tournament, and Lakes MLK event. Fought through injuries in middle of season to carry team to state finals. Three time CSL South All Conference selection. CHARLIE POMIS, 6'3" senior combo guard, Hersey (Arlington Heights): King of Bounce three level scorer. Led team to Class 4A Supersectional. Explosive scorer off the bounce and can hit threes in bunches off the catch. Good passer and defender on and off the ball. Averaged 17.6 points 5 rebounds 2.2 assists 1.4 steals. RASHAUN PORTER, 6'7" senior forward, DePaul College Prep (Chicago): Toledo commit. Repeat selection. Three time state champion (Class 2A, back to back Class 3A). Lefty is a monster in the paint finishing through and around contact. Nice mid range jump shot, crashes glass on both ends of the court. Averaged 16.2 points 7 rebounds 2 assists. Tom Lawless Player of the Year (Top player in Chicago Catholic League). Team finished third place in Class 4A winning Chicago Catholic League title. Travel team: Illinois Wolves. JAYDEN RILEY, 6'2" senior point guard, Christian (Yorkville): Southern Illinois Edwardsville commit. One of the top floor generals in the state. Attacks downhill finishes strong through and around contact at the rim. Improved three point shooter off the bounce and catch. Led state in assists as a junior. Averaged 23 points 7 assists 3 steals. Has over 2000 points and 700 assists for his career. Led team to Class 2A Sectional title game. All tournament selection at St Ignatius College Prep (Chicago) and Plano Christmas Classic. COLIN STACK, 7'1" senior center, Benet Academy (Lisle): North Dakota State commit. Scores off rim runs and can step out and hit catch and shoot threes. Elite rim protector with his size and timing on blocked shots. Led team to Class 4A state runners-up after winning t

he title his junior year. All tournament at Pontiac Holiday Tournament winning the title. Averaged 13 points 9 rebounds 3 blocks on 77% from the field and 39% from three. Won the last East Suburban Catholic Title. Travel team: Full Package Basketball. Twitter handle: @colinstack13.


ETHAN VAHL, 6'3" sophomore point guard, Oswego: One of the top sohomores in the state. Three level scorer who also hits the glass specifically on the defensive end. Slick passer off the dribble or moving the ball off a pass. Deep shooter from 25 feet and in. Can get his own off the bounce. Helped team to 10 win improvement and sweep of rival East (Oswego). Averaged 21 points 7 rebounds 3 assists. Travel team: Meanstreets Nike EYBL. Twitter handle: @EthanVahl.



JORDAN WILLIAMS, 6'6" senior combo guard, Fremd (Palatine): Illinois State commit. Lefty is smooth off the dribble and hits threes, pull-up jumpers, and Euro step layups. Crashes the glass on both ends. Good passer out of the post or off the bounce. Led team to Class 4A Sectional title game and Mid Suburban Title. Averaged 18 points 6 rebounds 3 assists. LINCOLN WILLIAMS, 6'6" senior combo guard, Kankakee: Repeat selection. Best two end wing in the state as he brings it on both ends. King of Bounce who'll dunk on you at a moments notice. Led team to Class 3A Sectional Final and Southland Conference Title. Tournament MVP at Kankakee Holiday Tournament. Best player in school history. Scored over 2000 points for his career. Averaged 26 points 6 rebounds 3 assists 3 steals 2 blocks shooting 77% from the field. Travel Team: Mac Irvin Fire. Twitter handle: @LincolnW_11.



RYKAN WOO, 6'1" senior combo guard, DePaul College Prep (Chicago): Brown commit. Repeat selection. Smooth scorer off Iverson cuts, catch and shoot form three and mid range. Works himself to the rim off the bounce finishing around contact. First team All-City and Chicago Catholic League Title. Averaged 17 points 3 rebounds 4 assists 2 steals shooting 49% from field and 47% from three. Won Class 3A State Title as a junior. Finished third in Class 4A. All tourament at Pontiac Holiday Tournament. Travel team: Illinois Wolves. Twitter handle: @rykanwoo.



JAYDEN WRIGHT, 6'0" senior point guard, Benet Academy (Lisle): Eastern Illinois commit. Improved as a floor general this season after playing mostly off the ball his junior year. Showed a balance between scoring from deep range aka the parking lot, to attacking the rim and scoring. Showed a propensity to get his teammates involved and throw lob passes to his big men for baskets. Used speed to push the tempo when needed. Averaged 15.5 points 6 assists 3 rebounds. Led team to Class 4A runners-up after winning the title last season. Won prestigious AC Williamson Award at Pontiac Holdiay Tournament leading team to title.
