Some talented players at the event and Antonio Curro IS BACK!!!!!! Some packed houses on Court 5 especially with some great matchups and players. Here we go:
MEQUON, WISCONSIN: I was stationed at Homestead High School the entire weekend. Great atmosphere in the gym and fieldhouse.
TEAM HERRO EYBL:
Won Platinum 15U, 16U, and 17U. Dominated the proceedings and I feel 17U can win the Nike EYBL Peach Jam this summer. Size on the wings, interior, and athleticism at all posiions. Played this weekend without Gonzaga commit Dooney Johnson (injured). There's a Knueppel on all of these teams Kager (17U), Kinston (16U), and Kash (15U). Program to watch this spring and summer.
ILLINOIS WOLVES UAA:
17U came in second in Platinum Division, 16U made the semifinals. 17U features a lot of size in Edvardas Stasys (Benet Academy), Gus Johnson (DePaul college Prep) along with guard play of Travis Brown Jr (West Aurora) and Myles Montgomery (Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin). Perry Tchiegne (Benet Academy) has excellent size on the wing at 6'5". Balanced scoring team.
